    Hi,

According to your experience, how much initial traffic is required to get a viral script to go viral? I have seen many of the viral sites going viral from no where in less than 1 month or 1 month. If you have any insights please share with us.

    Thanks
    Regards
    Michael

depends on the niche, if its something people will want you can make it go viral in 30 mins, if not it will take time. its all about maximum exposure targeting the correct people

I think I know which viral sites you are referring to. What most people overlook is that these sites have a bigger hand behind them with a lot of money and influencers being a part of it. Even the quiz based ones. That is how they get ahead of the game.
Sites like diply littlethings etc have an army of influencers behind them.
Getting similar results is possible but its rare.

Out of 10,000 people 100 will share to their friends on a standard blog page.

If it's a viral script you can go viral with ~7500 tier 1 uniques, but sending as much traffic as possible is ideal to prolong its exposure.

I think social influencers helped big ones like diply and littlethings which are actually companies. Others unknown but very big I assume have large pages or JV with large ones. I don't think it would be rare as new ones keep popping nearly each day. I assume they send huge initial traffic to kickstart quickly. So, I'm just wondering how much traffic!

Unfortunately, It would be a WAY bigger number than 7500 based on my testings. Regarding prolonging exposure, that's is actually what going "viral" means; you would no longer need to keep pushing traffic as it will continue on its own from sharing.

Sometimes, if you share {something|a few decent posts} it can happen with just a few hundred posts on your end in targeted groups and people will share it like crazy.

Here's an example of one of mine that is catching a little fire from about 200 posts on my end. I'll probably end up with around 500,000 UVs from this after it dies down and I have to push another one.

Different niches operate differently and you have to target your audience with something that has perceived value to them.

Can I ask you what is the share rate for this article or story?

    Thanks!

A viral script? Well, I mean, for a good meme you can get it to go viral easily. I've seen videos go viral easily as well. If you post a meme and it really resonates with the people on your list, just posting it can get you hundreds of likes even on a small account. You can then post them in groups.

To be honest I have no idea as I posted it using a bunch of different accounts but I know that the same post, with the same link, was posted about 200 times with some slight variations in the text.

I did see some of the posts share numbers and there were several in the hundreds but I did not look at more than just a handful of them.
