    Hello guys,

This question may have been answered before but what are the first things you should do when you create a new website as far as SEO goes. I already have my first few pages optimized and setup.

Someone once posted a guide on the first things they always did on a new website to get it off to a fast start without overdoing it. But I can't find that guide.

This particular website is running on wordpress CMS.
I am going to register it to all major search engines and ping it on pingomatic for right now until I get a better idea.

    Thank you all

    3. edit footer.php and put your keywords

    6. change permalinks to custom structure /%category%/%postname%/

    7. make sure robot.txt file allows search engine bots (shouldnt have to worry about if using wordpress but i always make sure)

Thanks guys. Also I plan on monetizing this website with cpa offers. The main page is sort of a "warm up page" showing them some tips/secrets and whatnot. I will add other pages that contain tutorials for their free viewing soon. But on one page there will be a content blocker on it. This is the page that contains the most valuable resource, tutorial, and download link.

Should I wait until the site starts to get more traffic before making the "monetization page" ? Or should I add it now? I have heard some people say wait until the site is more popular then monetize it, others have said it don't matter. What should I do?

If one was to use a software to automatically accomplish the above would that still be considered white hat? and more importantly, would that damage the site's search-engine credibility in any way?

I was reading your phrase when you said a warm up page. I think you are doing this warm up page because you think you don't want to hard sell. But let me tell you somthing my brother. there s only one way to sell cpa offers and thats the hard way. You don't want to give your visitors many other options than to click on your offer right away. You will find that you make no money unless aggressive.

Thats why you see these sights that are so hard to sell you you don't even want to be on the site anymore, but this is the only way to make real money with content locker etc. You get them fired up as fast as possible and give them the quickest way to get to your offer. You think these people want to have sites that are pain and practically force you to sign up? We all wish we could make nice sites with little warm up pages but the fact is you gotta sell hard an fast to make it.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure you will need to use every aggressive measure you can to make your sales. Also, don't worry aobut buying software yet.

Go to fiverr and you will get fast results for the same money.

If you buy any software you will end up spending the next 3 weeks just trying to see any results. Where as you go to fiverr to someone with everything set up you get results fast.

Also, once you make some money and are ready to use some real reliable services there are plenty here at BHW. CUlater Peace.

also if you look up BHW member thesilent he has always given me good well priced service.

Thank you for your informative reply. I see exactly what you are saying but I am going to try "warming them up" first because what I'm giving them for free they will get tired of doing and go the easy route. And the only way to go the easy way will be to fill out an offer.

But if I see that it's not working I will have to change things up a bit.

At first make unique contents on your site.
Then start bookmarking, directory submission, article submission, link wheel, profile links, blog posting and commenting.
But never spam, google do not like it.
You can also do forum posting on relevant forums for more traffic.
    Enjoy your work;)

Are you trying to grow a following without turning the readers off with ads or something? If not, I don't see a point in waiting to put up your CPA ads.

Install all the SEO plugins like All in One SEO, xml site map etc. Check the ratings for the best options. I think mashable did a great article on the best SEO plugins.
