Information Overload!

Hello guys,

I'm new to the whole make money online thing and I think finding this forums was the best thing that could ever happened to me.

I've been reading this forums and some e-books I downloaded non-stop and I have made a few things making just a bit of money.

The first thing I saw online was the spiderweb system and I was a complete noob then. I spent like $150 on adwords just to get like 3 members and no money at all. Then I joined an affiliate program for a people search engine that has made me like 12 dollars so far which I can't cash because I need 100.

Then I studied Dreamweaver for a week and made a website reviewing some of the e-books I read with my affiliate links, and I threw some free ebooks too that I fund. I haven't made any money yet with this. I guess I haven't been making any SEO and that's the reason.

All of the above was done before I discovered this forum and now I'm not sure of whether to start promoting what I already made or find a new and more profitable niche. I'm sure the "make money online" niche is way too competitive so I'm thinking in finding something with a little less competition.

I've been also making a little money with AC which I discovered thanks to this forum. I used to have a couple people working for me but now I'm all alone. Any ideas on where can I outsource?

I don't want this thread to sound like another "How can I make money?" thread. I've been reading and trying stuff before posting. I'm just seeking a little guidance in what would you guys do next because I think I'm suffering from information overload.

Have you guys had information overload and if so, how did you deal with it?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i have same problem with overload info ...
best choice is to read some methods on the forum , write them down and then choose 2-3 of them that you like and follow them .

thanks for your comments!

Actually I made a list with some of the methods here and the list is huge!!:D

I'm having a hard time choosing 2 or 3 methods but I decided I'm going to do so this weekend. I'm just giving myself till sunday night to choose and I'll apply them on monday.

Also any comments regarding my current endeavors and if you think I should move on?

rc, I'm sure you have heard that content is king. It takes a while to create and get to working for you, but without it you are not going to do very much at all. Just find something that works a little and then focus on it. The mistake I see a lot of people make( I've made the same mistakes) is jumping from one thing to another and getting caught up in the hype. Just get a direction and stay with it until it starts paying off.

We all suffer from overloud information. But thats not a bad think.Good information is money, so you could say that you are overloaded with money :D.
All you have to do is start to collect gradually that information = money

nice thread....yah..when i first started in internet marketing...YES..information was OVER LOADED...but hey.. i took the effort to try out ALL the methods...and filter which one cannot work and which can work for me....actually..only 1 word to describle... ACTION..

we must take action..we cant just sit down there doing nothing and hope that the SKY drop some money for us... put in action and be patience...rewards will be coming soon to you...no matter what books you read...the word is put into ACTION...

just use one method that takes little or better no investment. stick to it until you start making some method.

think about before you actually do it and don't go blindly into like 10 methods at a time.

that's what i do

Thanks for your input!

You are all right. I think I haven't made a lot of money yet because I get caught in the hype easily, then I try to make everything at once and nothing really works at the end because I don't concentrate my efforts. Well, is a common noob mistake I guess

Right now I'm working hard to find a good niche to market. I've been following the sticky thread on this subject, but finding a good and profitable niche is not as easy as it seems and I don't have many ideas yet. I'll be posting my progress and hopefully I'll be making a nice income soon!:D

Also, I haven't made anything black hat yet. Once I find my niche I'll BH the hell out of it, just need to read more about it! Thanks again!!

pick something you like and work it. Find what works, what doesn't, and make something out of it.

You'd be suprised how far a little effort goes online =]

I have the same problem man, I mean I hardly can sleep at nights!
I keep thinkng all the time what to do next.:violin:

haha, i am part of the spiderweb system, or 89 leads only 1 signed up to GDI *sigh*
I'm in the same situation as you. Too much stuff to do, too little time. I think making a solid website is a good way to start
just my $0.02

If you look around the forum...I have noted 2 threads recently which kick ass!...
1) The thread about creating a network of squidoo lenses
2) The thread about creating free blogger blogs using long tail keyword articles and making money through adsense. (long term)

Information overload...will never go... Its something that you should be happy about. Keeping up to date with new methods is good. You just need to see IM like a 9 to 5 job ...and set your hours wisely.

Spend 2 hours a day writing articles for AC(or outsourcing) This should be your main concern as this is immediate money...and AC isnt going to run away soon

Spend 2 more hours each day..setting up your future online income stream. Something like creating a single blogger blog or wordpress website every day.... alternatively...you could create 3 to 4 high content squidoo lenses every day...(again...you have to concentrate) This is all long term and you will see results after a few months.

So..basically you will work for 4 hours...the rest of the time...learn new stuff at bhw...let information overload be a good thing! Once you have something good established(frankly..ur current sites suck..from the way you describe em) you will notice that a single small idea you read on bhw will double your profits...or increase traffic etc.... But concentrate on building base first!

Best of luck!
