When browsing Flippa, I noticed alot of these sites, expecially affiliate sites are using .info domains. I know that breaks the EMD rules but is there a reason people are going with .info lately, or is it just because they dont really care because they plan on selling these sites anyways?

There's nothing wrong with .info domain names if you know your SEO.
I'f I'm making a review site it looks far more legitimate on a .info then it does
    on a .com.
Remember the rules of domain extension .info = information .com = commercial.

Probably because info is for information. I find .org nice as they seem to be more trusted. If you know your SEO you can rank anything really.

.org's are great if you come across as an organisation.
It really is not hard to rank any domain extension if used in the right context.
And it is not that hard to structure your site in that fashion.
Say if I create a site somthingsomthingcredit.org and state in my "who we are" page that
we are an organisation looking to get the best credit deals for everyone, I can rank that
and send traffic to it all day long. A good thing with a .org is it is trusted as well.

Im still learning about offsite SEO.... Ive only been buying services, havent done any backlinking myself yet. Not doing the greatest, out of 10 sites with probably about 20 pages total, only about 5 are in the top 10 on google, and none above 5th.

There's a lot of misconception regarding .info domains. People think they suck but I've had luck with .info domains especially with EMD celebrity names. Got several .info website and they rank just fine.

.info can rank as good as any domain extension including .com. Not a lot of webmasters liked to used them in the past because of a SPAM stigma that was attached to it. But since G00g'e's algo is much smarter today those types of spam sites are harder to rank online.

I'm of the opinion you don't know what a Micro niche site is.
A mns is not a keyword stuffed spam site it in a site within a niche
drilled down to a longtail microniche.

    Code:

They are generally known as MFA sites or made for adsense websites. These types of websites generally have 1 page and its stuff with targeted keywords. Additionally, adsense are plastered all over so that most visitors who land on it will click the ads just to get away from the site itself.
