I don't know how many of you deal with niche SEO, have a niche website, or follow your typical "influencers" (I hate that word) but recently (*ahem* after the May Core Update) suddenly you could see Youtubers (who also happen to be on Twitter) make some funny claims and videos. Started attacking each other for "how can you give such advice, look at your pathetic site" and all.

I was having just dinner and watched a couple of those videos (yes, I sometimes watch SEO stuff after work, JUDGE ME!) but it made me laugh to be honest.

The "influencers" SEO these days are your typical Social Media SEOs. Bickering about stuff, trying to claim their "I'm the INFLUENCER HERE, look at these LOSERS" place. Then they respond to each other's videos. Like .... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT???

It's sad. It's pathetic.

Instead of calling out other SEO's website issues, you can make actual content that doesn't aim to hit the drama bell to gain attention in THAT kind of way.

It's like watching Youtube drama channels.

When did SEO get so sad???

We have Youtube, Twitter, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, you name it. We don't need more drama.

Sheesh.

End of my rant.

Are you talking about the new Charles video against Income School, Authority Hacker and others?

There's also a 3 ways slanging match on FB today, plus another one ongoing for 2 year resurfaced.

I just sit back and laugh at these so-called big names.

I see it as begging.

Begging for social media metrics to coax their little egos. It’s weird to do that over SEO.

Yep, it's odd. Anyone attacking another person either has insecurities of their own or way too much time on their hands. The busy and successful people I know don't start dramas because they have much better things to do with their time and aren't that petty.

It's one thing to offer perspective, advice, or criticism, but to attack someone for no reason is just lame.

I've had heated exchanges, sure. Can't say that I haven't. But I've always attempted to avoid attacking the person personally & outside of the subject matter, if at all possible.

I can't say that I haven't been juvenile at points in my life, but I feel like that's juvenile to attack over an opinion.

For me, SEO has always been about making money and living as a “Digital Nomad”. There has always been so called SEO Gurus who pretend like they are so amazing and talk smack about other people. My guess is YouTube is a breeding ground for these false-gurus.

The worst is when both parties in the argument are insecure. Oh god!
