Okay. So I currently only make song covers on YouTube. I may not monetize these videos unless I buy full song rights (which costs like $500 per song).
Also, I cannot apply for partnership (already tried that), because I only have song covers. Making 1 original song would be enough to get accepted for YouTube partnership, but then I can only monetize that 1 original song.

Now I was wondering, what is the difference between being individual partner (on your own), or via a network (like Vexon, Phazer, TGN etc).

    1. Are song covers monetizable via Network Partnership?
    2. How come I can become partner through a network whilst having only song covers, while I cannot become partner by 'applying myself (individually)?
    3. How do you earn more revenue, individual partnership vs Network partnership?

I got the change to choose between a regular partnership and a machinima directorship. But I went for the reg youtube 1. When u sign a contract for a network, the networks actually get's your account. This would mean, that if u want to 'stop being' in that network, u have to make a new account because the network actually owns your account and you basicly have to sue them to get your account back. I thought MuzzaFuzza did this with machinima.

Sorry for my english, but I'm sick as hell:d

Well, I know a guy who set up a network recently, and I asked him about quitting the network. I can quit whenever I want, without any conditions, so that's not the problem. Can someone please answer my 3 questions?

    1. I don't know, they're not going to accept the vid if anything is copyrighted.
    2. see 1
    3. I'm telling you, monetizing songs is freaking hard. I make dubstep and dnb myself, 2/3th of my vids just get blocked 'cause youtube thinks it's copyrighted and I can't monetize them again. but that is only for the regular partnership:)

That's incorrect. Per ToS if you are under contract by network you are allowed to leave, some netowkrs say you can't leave, but youtube's rules over power the networks so if you want to leave just email partner support and they will disconnect the link, but keep in mind you are probbaly going to be in shit for bgreaking contract for network, but that's a whole legal battle for another day.

Long story short, you can leave but you might get fucked in the ass by network.

Hey, I'm in the same situation. The individual program is not bad but you will not have a custom banner in your channel, that's the difference. some features are not available
I tried to go to networks like socialblade and tgn
    BUT
dang, they rejected me because i have copyright issues
    right, the covers
anyway i just want to earn cash with my originals

you can't. if you want to do that you have to buy a license (500$ i think, it depends but it a lot)
You only can monetize original content of your own
