Hello guys, I'm pretty new to all this SEO thing and in learning phase. I just saw that one of my sites is ranking #1 for most keywords but for the wrong page.

    Instead of

    xxx.com

    it's ranked for

    xxx.com/example.php

Which isn't good. What to do to solve this?

Add your content on the "example.php" page to redirect the visitors to the home page..

add your "xxx.com" site as a conanical url on the "example.php" page , this should tell google to ignore the example.php page and rank/index xxx.com instead ,
ive tested this and it worked for me
