I've manually created 20 small HQ web 2.0s on 5 different platforms. Do you guys typically have to use indexing services to get google to crawl them are should google pick up the fresh 2.0s from big platforms like tumblr pretty quickly?

If you plan on building tier2 on top of them, no need for indexers. Otherwise you might need to do some light indexing or even share them on social networks so they get picked up faster.

Cool, I did share them on the google plus profile I created for the brand, was hoping that would index them pretty quickly but no luck yet. Think I'm just being impatient though!

You can index them by sharing with social networks.
Or build some contextual blast to make them index.

They take longer to index, bought and indexer but it didn't help, when I reached the indexing service they gave me lame bs on it.

try the social networks, a service like socialadr.com or Onlywire might help you index your pages by sharing your page in popular networks. Careful with your velocity, start slow and pick up speed with time. Make sure to customize your web2.0 sites and add a video or two and pictures to your content.

I recommend building a tier, you kind of need it anyways. Social sharing works too.

Indexing Tumblr blogs shouldn't take long. Blogs from Tumblr, WordPress.com, and other popular web 2.0 platforms get indexed pretty quickly.
