    Hello all,

Maybe someone can figure this out...I'm puzzled.

Do you know what would cause my site to show up in my browser as a first page listing with both google and yahoo, and then totally disappear when using another ip's browser?

When I enter my keyword in the search field for either google or yahoo my site shows up on page 1.....in another (many) browsers with a different ip it does not exist on any of the top 50 pages? This goes for a few different ip's I've checked.

I'm puzzled....of course I am not logged into any accounts (google yahoo or otherwise when doing so).

I'm not sure, but I am thinking it has to do with my IP address?

    Anyone have this experience?

I recently hired and fired an "SEO" firm/guy...they promised a first page listing....it seems I was fooled into believing first page status....until I had a look on a few different computers, with different ip's.

Can an ip address be re-directed to display a specific keyword in a specific browser?

    Thanks in advance

you may need to install "Better Privacy" it's a firefox plugin that delete's flash cookies.. Because this is where google stores information on what you have been seaching for and it give you search results based on this data.

You can also "turn off" the personalized search for specific searches.

Do a search for whatever - when the search results come up add this to the end of the URL and then just hit return again:

    &pws=0

    Thanks Sharksfan!

    Update:

Implemented both the tool and the line of code.

I'm still on page 1 in my browser.....thats not a bad thing...just puzzles me why it does not show in other browsers under a different ip?

    Thanks again guys!!

If you want you can pm me your search term, or keyword, I will search it and tell you what the first few sites are. If that would help you out.
