I have my site with 3400 indexed pages before but now it only has 1,970 indexed pages. The traffic is somehow ok but still thinking is this thing happening still normal?

Will my site get banned from Big G??

If the content is duplicate, then it most likely to get your pages de-indexed one by one.

It seems that in the recent google algorithmic change, they are dropping pages from the index. It has nothing to do with getting banned. It seems they are reevaluating which are important pages, and dropping more of the rest.

Google changes its algorithym over 250 times a year.

I wouldnt worry that some of your pages are being deindexed, it wont mean your getting banned, if you was, then none of your pages would show up.

As long as your top visited pages are indexed then you should not see much difference in stats, If you do have any important pages that have been deindexed then put up a few articles with good unique content and link through to that specific page. 2 weeks later your page should be back

good luck

Thanks to all of you guys. Glad to hear all your opinions. Thanks again:)

I would assume it could either be something to do with the update, or something to do with your content.

Remember, Content does have to be updated regularly. If something else comes along, is more fresh and overall better - your pages will become unrelevant. Over time, Google will find other alternatives and drop your pages - simply because they aren't needed any more!

Either way, I'm sure with a few updates and more time, they'll "crawl" back up!

:D
