I've had my blog up and running for at least a week and a half already. I have a linked twitter account as well as a facebook and YouTube account. My blog is almost all original content hand written. For some reason it is only showing up in google. I searched and it's not in yahoo or Bing. Any ideas?

Yahoo and bing take some time. The more links you have will help you in those two sites. There setup is a little different than google.

Go to yahoo and bing both and do there version of web master tools and submit your site that way and your sitemap file. then it will tell you when they have crawled your site and what pages they have indexed.

Or they could have listed your site but it could be 1k pages back.

Is there some reason you want to be found in Yahoo or Bing? (something particular?)

I find that, AT BEST, they amount to 5% of my traffic on any given website, nothing worth really working on...

Work on Google and the others will follow....

I have had some success with doing a delicious bookmark of the site to get it indexed quickly. Give that a shot and see what comes of it...

By the way OP, I see that you are in Philly. I have one question for you: Pats or Geno's?

I'm pretty new to SEO etc so I guess I just thought it was best to be on all search engines. If it doesn't matter that much then I don't really care. I'm already on page 6 for my #1 keyword!

    congrats!
    Keep going :)
and Yahoo and Bing will catch up to you in a couple of weeks, so dont waste time on them until you get to #1 in google and then need something to do ;)

Do the directory submission, social bookmarking and search engine submission for the blog. Its help you blog to crawl on other search engines.
