I got several domains in the same niche, but I want to have just 1 main site and use the other ones for links. Now, I want to increase the PR for my link sites; would spam be a good way to do this? Just get a sh*tload of links, pay someone to do it for me.. I would probably get smacked around by Google for doing it to a brand new domain, but will my main site be slapped around by G if I link to it from my spam sites?

Yes ... many believe that this is how it happens... But I think nobody is sure.

You basically just described a link wheel. You put the same articles on each of the mini-websites, then spin them up so they aren't quite the same. Then link to your money site, and spam the living shit out of the other sites.

You can do it with sites that you create (like you did) or a lot of people use free blogging places (wordpress, bloggers, etc).

Will this be good for ranking on Google?

I once had some moron spam two of my sites, telling me Google wouldn`t give me crap about it. Was he wrong or what. Both of my sites went from the first page and down to page 5-6..

A link wheel can do nothing but good for your site. Some argue that G has caught on and has 'reduced' its effectiveness. But creating a link wheel, will not in any sort of way hurt you. Here is a picture of what a link wheel looks like (stole it from google images)

    Code:

The idea being that you built up your spokes on the wheel, the freebie sites, or in your case your own sites, using comment spam. And then those sites pass on the link juice through a link to your big site. It acts as kind of a shield against your big site. While you spam the freebie sites, you do targeted and higher pr manual posting on your big site.

I know what a link wheel is, and this is not exactly the same. The wheel requires that the spam sites are linked together, as far as I know, and my sites are not.. Good info though.. :)
