Disclaimer: Total newb question.

The company I work for offers $50 credit per referral. Since I work there, this is just given as cash. Leads don't have to pay anything if they sign contract.

Wondering how big (or small) of a referral value this is? I don't have the experience to say "wow omg that's huge" or "too low... not worth my time."

I was a salesman on 25% at a company. I often paid people 10% for a referral that closed - leaving me with 15% that I never would've had otherwise.

I now commonly pay 15% for a referral. I ensure the margin is there to justify it, and get a llot of business from it.

i'd be getting leads for an isp that targets low competition (rural) areas. in your guys' experience is that a decent referral amount?

I would say 50 is good. I mean it is the same concept as CPA and the avg there is like $5

Thnx for the reply Hugall. My main motivator is that this isp's target market is virtually uncontested and substantial in size.
