    Home Page:
Check for the template settings or edit the sidebar.php and add the url and the image.

If I understand you correctly, Amazon has given you some HTML to place somewhere on your site, and you just want the banner URL. If that's the case, look in the HTML for the banner URL, and just copy and paste it wherever you need to. You could also just download the banner from Amazon and host it locally on your site. Then simply provide the URL to the local copy of the image.

the problem is that is ask for an URL for the banner image You can not put in html or upload a pic or anything you can only put in a URL for sponsors

like this guys site http://717.dk/wp/ on the right side bar the 4 squares saying my sponsors. I can not just put in the URL to amazon it does not work lol

Maybe you misunderstood me. Two things have to happen here...In order for the banner to show, your plugin or whatever needs the URL of the image. I suggest that you host the image on your own site, as opposed to hotlinking it. If a 125x125 image is not provided for you, then make your own. :)

Next, the banner will need to link to somewhere. This would be your affiliate URL that Amazon gives you.

Here's an example. The HTML that Amazon gives you will look something like this:

    Code:
    <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FApple-classic-Silver-Generation-MODEL%2Fdp%2FB001F7AHXW%3Fie%3DUTF8%26m%3DATVPDKIKX0DER%26s%3Delectronics%26pf_rd%5Fp%3D471619841%26pf%5Frd%5Fs%3Dcenter-2%26pf%5Frd%5Ft%3D1401%26pf%5Frd%5Fi%3D1000274311%26pf%5Frd%5Fm%3DATVPDKIKX0DER%26pf%5Frd%5Fr%3D1A68ZYHD5BYRNG19Q3MV&tag=amazonid-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325">iPdd Classic</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=amazonid-20&l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
All you want out of this is the value of href:

    Code:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FApple-classic-Silver-Generation-MODEL%2Fdp%2FB001F7AHXW%3Fie%3DUTF8%26m%3DATVPDKIKX0DER%26s%3Delectronics%26pf_rd%5Fp%3D471619841%26pf%5Frd%5Fs%3Dcenter-2%26pf%5Frd%5Ft%3D1401%26pf%5Frd%5Fi%3D1000274311%26pf%5Frd%5Fm%3DATVPDKIKX0DER%26pf%5Frd%5Fr%3D1A68ZYHD5BYRNG19Q3MV&tag=amazonid-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325
Now you need an image. Like I said, make your own if it's for Amazon because I don't think they give you any 125x125 banners.

Your plugin or widget, it seems to me, would need to ask you for both the URL to the image and the URL to which the image will link. Putting in just the URL for the banner would be pointless.
