Currently sitting at a 3.8% defect rate. My sales dropped to about 20 from 80 a month and thus in order to hit 2% defect again to get TRS I need about 15 straight months of no defects. This obviously won't happen so I am thinking of taking matters into my own hands.

Has anyone found a solution for this? How about selling ebooks to another account? Is there a fool-proof black hat way of raising units sold/feedback without raising flags?

Buying feedbacks / Feedbacking via stealth account are always bad idea.
eBay pulls a lot of energy on this kind of things, so i guess its just not worth it.
If your limit are decent, you can just sell a lot of 1usd items, fast shipping, good communication to get the feedbacks back on the right way.

Sell something really really tiny and cheap and easy to sell for a while. I've seen folks sell individual guitar picks or pencils or whatever. Really tiny stuff x tons of times.

Usually the Most sold and safe product for upraising the DSR are Phone cases.
Just find on ali~ or whatever for around 1usd and sell them for 0.99.
even in case of loosing few cents, it worth it for the long terms

Doesn't buying low cost 1$ items virtually work in building feedback or nah?

    Untrue.
The low cost items, if it comes in pretty decent shipping time, is the safest and best way to build up your feedbacks.
These are no-risky items, wich never returns, and you'll never get items not as describen dsr's rate

    I was talking on purchases.
No one know how, but eBay just handle realy strictly these tricks of feedbacks.
Anyway, as was told , you should just buy a account with high limits and sell via them.
If you are interested in high limits US account, PM me :)

"You are trying to post a message that has triggered our moderation system" wtf? I will try to word my message differently I guess:

You can list pennies for auction, 1 cent. Other sellers will buy them and you will exchange 5 star ratings and positive feedback. You can do it with digital recipes as well, but then you'd actually have to send the recipe. I just checked, and can't find any BS penny auctions, but people still seem to do it with recipes.

Certainly gotta sell some high volume cheap items, which could be sold at a loss for higher sale. Or you could simply start few more stealths

If you're looking to increase your selling limits, call them and ask them if they can. They did for me (I was less than 1% over the limit however). I think coming in January or February, not having an item in stock that sold will no longer count as seller defects. If that has contributed to some of your defects against you, that should help.

Also, at least until they change that policy, when you have to cancel a transaction, choose that there was an issue with the buyer's address or the buyer asked to cancel, as if you select that you're out of stock, that will count against your defect %.
