I've been doing freelance seo for a long time now, and I'm getting tired of having to find and start contracts. I want to go for large companies and offer them my services. Is there any advice on what the best way to contact the decision maker of one of these companies. I checked out their product and site, and I know I can get it to rank fairly quickly and easily. I dont know anybody in the organization, and I want to contact their president or their marketing department.

Just find out who their marketing director is then call them direct.

Don't do the typical sales thing, just tell them what you do - try and get talking and build a relationship and make them want to use your services.

It seems like you know your stuff, so just be confident.
No matter what anyone tells you, you are still "selling" something.
In this case you are selling your own skills, and the fact that you are doing it cold means you really need to be on your game.

Whether you use email or a phone call is a matter of personal opinion. I feel like a combination of both is what it takes to get the ball rolling. No matter what you do, make sure you contact the right people. You want to talk to someone who cares about how well the company performs, otherwise if it is just a lowly peon they won't care to help you.
