    Hello guys,

I'm still fairly new to email marketing, and I have a question about buying email lists.

I know it isn't recommended due to high possiblity of spams with receivers not knowing, having a relationship, or may not even apply to them, but what about if I buy an email list and import it into an autoresponder, but then have a double optin confirmation sent to them first to confirm to be place on my list?

Will that work, or I can still get into a lot of trouble with that?

Any insightful help greatly appreciated. THanks

Hi Jason! You may still run into issues by importing a purchased list into an ESP or MA (like MailChimp or Aweber). Most of these platforms don't allow purchased lists - at all. Even if you send a double opt-in confirmation. Your best bet is to use an email sending platform that allows purchased lists and then transfer them over to your autoresponder. Clickback is one of the few email sending platforms that allows purchased lists - and they have a custom API integration feature which makes transferring warm leads easy. I'd check them out first! Good luck!
