    Hi.

As some of you know I own hosting in BST section.
Providing good service I often have to log in to GoDaddy for my clients and set domains, nameservers and IPs.

I was doing the same yesterday. After I was done I logged out, and closed GoDaddy tab.
5 Minutes later I had to check something on my GoDaddy - I enter the website and with my surprise I noticed in login area, that I am logged in, and GDaddy is calling me strange name.
    I was like WTF?
So I thought it is my clients account maybe that my FF remembered.
I logged out, reloaded website and here it is again...
So I was WTF x2
I entered account to check if this is some old, saved stuff from one of my clients.
With my surprise it was never before seen by me GoDaddy account with premium domains on it!
I checked domains and all were set up making money with CPA and stuff!
    I was like WTF x 3
As I am not much in BH I wont steal somebodys domains/business so I simply tried to log out again. This time it worked.

This was the strangest thing that happens to me in last few weeks.

This should be a lesson for you - always log off from your GoDaddy account.
Always use Key Scrambler for Firefox!
Change your password - what was last time you changed it?

    Should you use GoDaddy?
I wont say NO, as I am big supporter of their easy to go domain service (and nothing else). It was probably some crazy, random shit. Hard to imagine how crazy.

    BE SAFE

I only use godaddy for tdnam, and when I buy domains from other people. I set a reminder for 60 days away so I can transfer them to namecheap.

Wow, thanks for the useful information! Having so many domain names registered on their service, I might look into transferring the names to another service.

A similar thing happened to me on godaddy in june of 2010.
i logged out, (forgetting to download the domain list - which was the reason i went on in the first place), and to my horror and surprise....
i was logged into someone elses account.

so I too was like WTF x 4

i was in a hurry, so i jotted down the account number,
didn't bother even looking at the domains,
    and logged out.
closed down and rebooted my system.. and
then i was def logged out lol
and logged in again no probs and logged out no probs since.

However, I got customer services to call me and check that my accounts were not compromised etc.. and thety assured me that it was all 100% OK.

But to this very day, they simply implied that I was "dreaming", and that
    it was impossible!!!.
It was then that I logged into
    nodaddy.com
and check if this had happened before, and
yes, it had happened, godaddy were aware of some "breach",
and that it would never hapen again.

Your story proves to me that i was correct all along.

I wonder if anyone else on this forum has ever had a similar
    experience?

    thanks for sharing.
