How important do you think are Tier 3?

If you build some quality Web 2.0 to your website, some HQ automated backlinks with GSA - are Tier 3 really necessary?
Or could you see some changes in the SERP's because of the Tier 3 links?

I'm wondering about that for a long time and would like to hear your opinion.
Are you working with Tier 3 or are Tier 2 enough?

well everyone has different approach for me i make tier 1,2,3 manually and then blast tier 2 and 3 with GSA/scarpebox , i have had good success with that so i stick with this strategy .

Generally I just stick with Tier1 and Tier2. If a project is really important to me I'll add blog comment Tier3 but I'm not sure if it really helps.

Here is my strategy:-
Tier 1 to money site - Manual made web2.0 with meta tag, related picture, 500-600 words (spun), related video also doamin name with related keywords.
Tier 2 to web 2.0 - Run GSA with GOOD verified Premium list mostly PR 3 - 9
Tier 3 - Spam Links to Tier 2.
Good results with this.

This link structure is interesting; building tier 1 > 2 > 3 manually!

i mostly concentrate on long term sites , and i play in very high/medium competition niches where serp changes(top 10) every 10 to 12 days and i prefer doing it manually its more fun and it keeps me busy .

I find it very hard even to build tier 1 manually (but, it's no choice as tier 1 is directly linking to money). For building tier 2 or 3 manually, it seems very very hard to implement. But, as you said, it will be a long term goal and for highly competitive niches.

Tier 3 are only really good for indexing tier 2 and making them worth your efforts. Focus more upon tiers 1 and 2.
