We all know images and videos serve the purpose to increase the quality of the web 2.0 page. However, assuming the content is great, how much of an importance does the addition of images and video play for backlinking purposes?

Im asking this to gauge the value of web 2.0s created by Senuke and Sick Submitter and all those automated softwares versus a significant less number of handmade web 2.0s but with images and videos (or I suppose another way is to login to each individually afterwards and add images and videos yourself?).

    What do you guys think?

Adding Images and Videos will improve uniqueness of web 2.0 properties. But most of newbies put same image and video and leave a big footprint to Google. So rotate few media files by using html tags. You don't need to login again after making from a tool. Just use iframe script from youtube to add videos and use basic html tags for images while you submit it from tools.

Yeah. Good question. I ll answer what i know. usually, we gain backlinks for our site only from contexts, we often forget to add links from images and videos. It will make our link building looks more natural.. And handmade web 2.0 will be good forever compring to automated web 2.0s as it may be containing same images or video.. Automated web 2.0s are not better enough than manually created web 2.0 properties because there you can get the uniqueness.

With the increasing rate of tools and also closure of web accounts, there is nothing that makes your web 2.0 more natural and not spam than having images and videos.

The site is not likely to close your account.

Readers love illustration by image and video, this will increase your traffic retention rate.
This is just logical anyway, am yet to see a good website that has content and only content with no images or video.

As the others are saying, it proves uniqueness. I don't ever use the same video when created web 2.0s or even the same image, I even use a different username/email for each web 2.0 pointed directly to my money site, I sometimes change my ip address too. These kind of backlinks need no footprint whatsoever, so make sure you change it all up a bit. When looking for videos, make sure that you find one that doesn't have ads, you don't want your visitors clicking on the video ads and not yours!

I think they're rather important as the add some uniqueness to your properties. I try to add at least 2 images per 500 words. I also make use of image title and alt title in the <img> tags :)

If you're embedding images to backlink. Where do you host them? Do you link them directly from their websites? Or download them and upload them to your own website. Or something similar to that.

Images and videos will increase quality of web 2.0 and make them unique and google loves that.
