Can anyone tell me if it is better to put the full keyword phrase in the domain with added words or a fancy domain that sounds good but only has one of the keywords.

    Examples:

    Code:
    www.dogtrainingplace.com
    or

    Code:
    www.dogteacher.com
The site I am making for be mainly for white hat, selling something useful and will probably have a community on the future.

    Thanks :)

Depends on how you want to be ranked in the search engine.

I have done google searches for you - dog teacher & dog training place.

There are more sites and more google ads on the google site for the keywords: dog teacher, which means if you use this keywords, its more competitive.

Therefore a good domain name to use is dog training place and there will be higher chance for you to dominate this niche.

One thing that I have found useful when selecting a domain is to check whether Google will understand all of the keywords in the name ie:

If I wanted to register the domain dogtrainingguide.com I would go to Google and type in dogtrainingguide in this instance Google says did you mean dog training guide? So this is good all of the keywords are recognised by Google.
