I've always wondered why sites like Imgur & Reddit, (but especially Imgur because it doesn't have the same algorithms), aren't marketed at all.

Like, someone could easily sell upvotes for either of the two, (Again, especially imgur), and make so much bank it's not even funny.

I'm not sure what the reason is for the lack of reddit/imgur sales on forums like this, but there definitely are companies that buy/sell reddit accounts, upvotes, etc. Just take a look at some of the comment threads on r/HailCorporate to find the names of these places.

^ How so, I'm just curious.

I've been looking and looking and nothing so far.

Reddit traffic doesn't convert. A large percentage of their users have adblock and it's just not commercial traffic. Not even Reddit makes any profit....

Yeah if you get to know the users on Reddit, they're troll'ers and cynical bastards. That said, good content WILL go viral on Reddit. Lol, the Daily Mail often picks up stories from Reddit. So if you put in the time, your content won't need upvotes and go viral. On the other hand if you artificially up vote it, the rest of the people will get mad and down vote it, and you'll be banned.

Well right, that's common sense. What I mean is if you subtly do so.

I think this is right on target. Reddit traffic is shit.

Same reason ***** is rarely targeted. Simply bad traffic, sites like the ones mentioned and ***** are aimed towards people who are more "aware" of internet marketing, and as mentioned above, a majority of them have adblock. However, that doesn't mean it can't be profitable. Get some interesting content that doesn't smell like a marketing scheme, and that can be monetized, and you can make some nice profits.

My friend is a massive reddit user, and trust me, GOOD content WILL sell on reddit. He takes all his PC building advice from there.

Yeah the collateral effects of reddit might be good, I've never hit a homerun though, all I know is their direct traffic is shit. But you're absolutely right, with the right amount of exposure you might get a story to go viral and then the secondary effects can be pretty good.

Reddit traffic is awesome, you just have to know what you are doing and play the "long game"

Yea, 100% the truth. The community is more internet smart than Facebook and Twitter so those Health ads you been running on Facebook will not fly.

I do agree that "some" of the redditers are trollers but it is a good place to get traffic and I noticed that per each link placed on reddit I was getting 20-30 clicks. So pretty good and targeted. Albeit I wasn't selling anything which is probably what helped but I'm sure it will work good with ad cents.
