hey everyone I just got an SEO client, and he does photos. Instead of article marketing, I was thinking about image marketing.

Has anyone done a backlinking strategy that involves images. Are there directories or other places where I could mass submit his photos for a backlink.

It doesn't matter what the PR of the page is. Just the link.

Let me know please. Thank you.

I imagine you could build a creative campaign up with his images, also turning "sets" of pics into PDF's, slideshows and videos (with some generic music track) to take advantage of all the file sharing sites out there, but you're going to have to get creative in finding places beyond that I'd think. Still, not knowing how promising such a campaign would be, I'd think it would be fun to develop and probably force you to push the envelope of your SEO abilities.

I wouldn't count out article marketing either, some article sites allow you to include images in your articles, so I would certainly take advantage of that with a nice 'Image by KEYWORD' source link.

You could obviously do the same with the normal Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo and Hub Pages and so on too, building content either around your client's services or about what's in the images you're publishing just for the link drops.

There's also the normal image sharing sites, most are nofollow'ing outbound links but you always want a mix anyway so worth hitting.
