    Hi guys,

The image size is being shown in my meta description in the search results ie "welcome to the best (keyword) website 150x150 in the world".

Any ideas what is causing this and how to fix it as I am sure that can't be good SEO wise?

Many thanks in advance for your time,

    James :)

Just put your own meta description in your <head>
    Hope this helps :)

By the way, it's been said that Google doesn't take meta description into account. It is purely to encourage a better CTR :) Make of that what you wish :)

Hmm, I always thought it was vital to optimize your meta description. What do you think about adding a rel author image btw? Do you think that helps with SEO?

I use it personally because I think it makes my page stand out in the SERPs and look a bit more professional but I have yet to see proof that it offers some sort of SEO benefit.

It's probably picking up an alt tag or something.

As mentioned before use the meta description tag. Google will use what it wants but it usually uses the meta tag.

As far as SEO benefits go, it's just one more place google looks for the keyword. Let's say someone searches for your page and sees the keyword in the meta description, chances are that will be displayed in SERPs.

Now if you don't have the keyword that the person used but it's on the page than google will take relevant text from the page and use it as the description in SERPs.

I'm actually setting up the meta description using Yoast on each post and it seems to be pulling from the latest post, but not showing what I set in the Yoast set up, if that makes sense.
