I have a background in SEO, but niche sites aren't performing like they used to.

What are some reliable ways to reach this goal today? I'd love to hear your experiences and recommendations.

Do you wanna to keep it SEO or are you open to expanding your niche?

Been on BHW since 2017 so you have seen enough to know what works. the honest answer $500 a month from SEO knowledge is easy if you stop waiting for the perfect method and just start. pick one thing you are genuinely good at. on page audits, content briefs, link prospecting, technical fixes. offer it to real businesses directly. not fiverr. not seoclerk. find businesses in your country whose websites are clearly broken or invisible on google. email them. show them the problem. offer to fix it.

Its still works but not like before, it’s no longer about targeting easy keywords you need to build real topical authority and back that up with solid intent based content.

Seo background can still make it possible to earn $500 per month but relying on niche sites is no longer as effective as it used to be.

In my view the most reliable options are seo freelancing local seo services content strategy consulting and agency partnerships. If you already have seo skills offering services directly to clients can provide a more stable income compared to affiliate marketing or niche sites. At the same time building a personal brand on platforms like LinkedIn X or YouTube can create valuable long term opportunities.

I also see better results when content is written for real user intent, not just keywords. pages that fully solve one problem tend to perform better now.

Bro honestly niche sites are dying, just pivot to local SEO consulting for small businesses or offer SEO writing on upwork, u can easily make 500 bucks with just 1 or 2 clients.

Consider offering specialized seo services directly to small businesses. Think local seo audits or technical seo fixes. You can build a small client base and charge a retainer. It’s more direct, you control the outcome, and it scales better than hoping a site ranks

You have to first do research. You will have to learn the current working methods first. Be patient in the process.

Honestly, online SEO has been brutal lately. I actually gave up on the grind and took a regular job at a local company near my house for a stable monthly salary. Sometimes going traditional is better than chasing failing trends :anyway:

I don't even have an SEO background but my 0 view blog is also underperforming right now. Honestly, with $500 a month, maybe we should just create a TikTok dance channel or become AI prompt engineers like the gurus on YouTube say :)). Seems way easier than fixing a dead niche site. Let me know if you find the secret formula

Been in the same boat lately and found that hitting up local businesses for website tweaks or Google My Business management can get you some quick cash without battling Google updates. Even simple stuff like setting up booking links or fixing broken contact forms gets bites if you reach out on Facebook or even door to door. Last month I landed two recurring gigs just by offering to tidy up old websites.
