Alright i know this statement has probably been beaten to a dead horse by now.. i do apologize

okay so i have two sites... both have taken a major hit from the new Google Algorithm. both have fallen to page 5 -10 for most keyword searches... they have been at page 1 for years. since about 09... both sites were Xrumered back in the day. one site had about 200 backlinks that i disavowed. the other i am still working on the disavow but it has about 600 links

luckly for me there isn't that many links

but now here is what i am starting to do..

first i am leaving the blackhat ways behind... i am coming to the otherside now
so the blackhat days paid off for the company (KIND OF) i got them to page 1 very quickly and they stayed there for years and didn't have to pay me a dime for those years.. NOW they dropped to page 10 and they are running back to me...

so now i am starting to build them a nice Social footprint as well as redo the onsite SEO and building more on site content.

but besides this where should i focus to get them back up where they want to be?

    thank you all in advance

Man it's not that hard to rank sites right now. Just give up on the penalized site and rank a new site. If you need to you can let the penalized domain sit for 6 months and come back to it, but don't waste time trying to recover sites. It's a losing game.
