ill try to be as brief as possible. ive been really depressed for the past couple of weeks and ill tell you why

I am a young musician. Ive worked really hard on building up my brand and a strong following.

I launched my blog a couple months ago and i was getting up to almost a thousand unique visitors every day. One of the music videos my band did went viral and I was also starting to get hundreds of thousands of views on my music that ive uploaded to youtube, things were going really well. I was getting thousands of new subscribers a day. To be clear, I did not use any kind of blackhat tactics whatsoever with google.

Just as i was enjoying the fruits of my labor , google disabled my adsense account. I reviewed every single TOS i did not violate anything. They rejected my multiple appeals. I am gutted. Within seconds all the hard work ive put into my brand just seemed to vanish.

I tried signing up for amazon associates, but honestly in my opinion the amazon system is so flawed all amazon associates program seems to be is a re-linking service where you link products for people to buy. The likelihood that they will buy something from your amazon link is negligible not to mention the time it takes for you to look up these items and fit it into the context of your website. with adsense everything is just there. the ads are constantly refreshing on their own and they are dynamic and relevant to the user. adsense shows the user ads based on their cookie history.with amazon im selling them something that 1.) they may not be interested in and 2.) that i would have to spend time searching for and making sure it fits the context of my blog post. 3.) it doesnt refresh itself and it isnt customizeable to the user

With youtube there is no better video service out there that can get your content out to the masses and have them keep coming back for more (with the subscription service)

I've read that you can set up a new adsense account with a business name, the problem is ive built everything around my branded content, I cant just change my branded content. I already have a following under this name.

I was thinking okay maybe i can just set up a new youtube channel or a new website but still include the name of my band in it somehow, but then wouldnt google be able to detect that im associated with the banned domain? this would suck even harder if i got banned a 2nd time

now im basically stuck with a rapidly growing brand that i have no way of monetizing. It makes me crazy to know i am getting all this traffic and its all wasted. Both on my website and on my youtube channel Can anyone give me some advice? What should I do?

Been reallly depressed about this whole thing. I don't know what i can do to fix this mess.

Open up a new ad sense account. You dont need to change anything.

Assuming your not just doing voice overs, release your music on itunes/google play.

Sell the song on iTunes with a link in the description? You'd probably make more through that than with adsense anyway.

??? what exactly are you talking about? if i open up a new adsense account and "not change anything" ie associate it with the same domain, it will just get banned again thats the entire basis of my dilemma

i know i can release my music on itunes. this is pretty common sense.
the problem is im generating all these views under my branded account but im unable to monetize the actual views.

sure i can sell my music on itunes still but i went from being able to monetize both my traffic and selling content to my audience to now just being able to sell content which really sucks when im getting such high traffic.

they said invalid activity, i googled this and almost everyone who gets banned gets the same message
they wouldnt say anything in specific about why i was banned. im pretty sure i was clickbombed by a jealous competitor

i appealed and appealed but they didnt accept it. i have no clue of the real reason why i got banned its infuriating.

my site is located in the US. ill look into bing

i guess what im looking for is some kind of loophole that will allow me to still somehow use the branded content ive built with adsense/youtube.

    there must be a way

You monetize on Google or YouTube through Adsense? If Google then switch to Media.net and see how that works for you. If YouTube try to contact a few networks that are worth while (you need to research this) and have them take you in. You can also provide music for their content creators and in return get yourself some exchanged publicity and fans.

If you have a family member you trust to cash the checks for you, simply have them open an adsense account and put the ads from their account into you web page. I have done this and it is not a problem, even though its the same domain. The domain isn't banned, your adsense account is.

I am not sure what happened toyour account, obviously Big G saw something wrong. But dont worry about that. Keep your site and brand man!!!! There are other ad networks out there. Just Google ad networks and you will see a ton.

wow really? this is encouraging. i read on the google forums that Google uses very "advanced" algorithms to prevent people from re-opening accounts. even going so far as putting the domain associated with the adsense account on a blacklist. i think i even read on bhw that u shouldnt use the same ip or same computer to register for a new adsense account?

why exactly were you banned the first time? did u use the same ip and same computer to register?

Amazon has contextual ads under the Omakase in the widget panel of the affiliate site. These work a bit like Google Adsense where Amazon choices the correct products automatically that suit the visitors of your website.

You could also try selling ad space on your blog to earn revenue, look at buysellads. There are tonnes of ways to monetize as an alternative to adsense, just type the phrase into Google search and answers will be revealed.

While you're working on reopening an adsense account, why not add an email subscribe on your blog? Maybe offer a free song download as incentive for people to signup. This way, you build a highly targeted email list that you can market to later.

In my case I was buying traffic and got caught. I opened an account in my wifes name, waited a month of no bought traffic, and out her account ads on the site.

I have had no problems since, except that it's her money now......
