    Hey all!

You guys may know me from some of my more popular posts, including this "Must read" from 2011: How I built my offline SEO/Social Media empire earning $15,000 a month in three months!!!

    And these:
A Complete Idiot's Guide to On Page Optimizations for your Website (Newbie Guide)
    Taktical's Favorite Wordpress Plugins

Suffice it to say business has changed a LOT since I got into IM. Its my full time career, I run a few businesses with a total of 30 employees in 3 offices around the world (New York in an office above Foursquare in Soho, Bulgaria in a partnership with GeorgeBG, and India in a partnership with IndianBill). I'm also invested heavily in a software company in Florida.

I've worked with large offline digital marketing clients in the US (including fortune 500s) and I've VERY involved and known in New York's tech startup community.

I'm honored to be asked to speak at BHW, and I'm looking for suggestions for speaking topics.

What do you guys want to hear me speak about?

    Growing an offline consultancy?
    How to close clients?
How to launch a tech startup?
    New SEO tactics?
Doing white hat work for major clients?

    Or something else?

    Let me know!

    Hi Taktical,

I like your top three choices. While the more technical choices are nice, no one will ever need them if they can't close the deal. I'd like to see someone talk about growing an offline business. Starting it is simple enough, but growing it to the point that you need 30 employees is the hard part.

    Thanks,

    Jacob

I think start ups and SEO would be great topics as these are two areas I see the most questions on. Everyone who doesn't already own a business/site wants to start one and inexperienced to even experienced SEO professionals are always asking questions and learning about changes within SEO. Regardless, I look forward to hearing you speak (And meeting you perhaps) as I'll be attending the event.

there are a lot of key things you could talk about, but to be honest I would make it personal and describe how you motivated yourself to reach your end goals and what steps you might have taken to get there. A lot of people struggle with motivation these days..

Although I'm not attending, I'm sure some people could benefit from simple things like website promotion, how to rank your pages, etc etc.

Some white-hat information is always good too.

Indeed. That makes a lot of sense.

Ya these are really tough concepts to learn if you're new. But don't you think people attending would already know about SEO?

I think I would do that regardless. For sure though, this business isn't for everyone.

You should try! Maybe they'll sell a video series.

That hasn't been decided on yet. I'm hoping over an hour.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

    Growing an offline consultancy?
    How to close clients?

These 2... I think they'd be very useful. Many people out here want to know how to start an offline business, grow, and close clients, so those 2 I believe would interest plenty of the audience.

@TakitcalYes, I think attendees will already "know" about SEO, what I meant to say was that I thought it'd be a good idea to discuss the changes that we've seen in SEO and how it may change in the future. This would be a good opportunity to speak on Social Media as well as SM has been referred to as the new SEO quite a bit lately. It was just a thought, I'm sure whatever you come up with to speak about will be very informative and well thought out. However, I think SEO should still be incorporated into your speech somehow, obviously it's not going to be all you talk about but I think it'd be a good discussion topic.

I won't be going, but still the topics that I find the most interesting are:

    1. Growing an offline consultancy - Always liked that approach.
    2. Doing white hat work for major clients - Would be nice to hear your insights about it.

Would you consider recording your part of the conference, and then uploading it here? it's ok if not alloweded, but I had to try : p .

Sorry that you will be missing out behemothseo. No recordings. You gotta be there in real life.

It's all about being there in real life (IRL) to keep this event exclusive to the attendees. It wouldn't be fair on the paying attendees should we allow free footage of the speaker sessions. Sorry you can't make it and I hope you understand why BHW have made this decision to not record.
