    From that article:

"One of the most prominent hosts of these types of ads is Forbes, which shows an annoying full-screen interstitial ad before you can read its articles. When specifically asked if Forbes would come under the gun, Marra diplomatically admitted “Interstitial popover ads are one of things people are telling us are disruptive."

You would think they would do some manual checking and see that some sites, like Forbes, should not be in the mix with some others.

Greg Marra is throwing the baby out with the bathwater on this one.

That's not how it works. I understand that it makes you feel good to think otherwise. But crap, even when it's lucrative, is still just crap.

Honestly, have you visited Forbes lately? Extremely annoying and spammy. I hope this kind of article will get them to change their business practice.

I have not in a while but going there now I don't see it as annoying... you have that 4 or 5 second wait before you can access the content where they have always had with a quote but then you have access to the content.

Typically the content is decent in my opinion and the site is not any more annoying than other sites I visit on a regular basis such as
    Code:
    nytimes.com
    nypost.com
    nydailynews.com
    tampabay.com
    cnn.com
    foxnews.com
    orlandosentinel.com
News sites, like most other sites, are built to generate revenue which in turn creates jobs and helps the economies go round and round.

FB is taking the easy way out here and not doing the proper due diligence to see what is fake news and what is real news and just eliminating various sites based on a survey.

I believe their decision based on a survey of FB users is flawed and instead of making the world a better place while maintaining their revenue streams AND allowing those on FB that can understand a multisyllabic word the opportunity to see real news stories they are just going to slap a ton of sites.

I don't get my news from FB and I can't imagine anyone would purposefully but I do think that eliminating many legitimate sources of true information is not a step in the right direction.

It's funny how to people can have a different perspective. I feel that NY Times is okay, but Forbes is super annoying.
Also, I totally agree with the rest of your comment.

    Heres the thing.

From a user standpoint there are certain sites that are annoying having you scroll through page after page of ads while reading your content, but as a marketer I can't hate.

Sometimes I just have to know the 7 secret signs shes a fuckgirl or whatever.
