Im so mad of bitly

The problem now becomes, you were posting linkts to bit.ly which millions do. When you start using your own script on your own domain, this previously never before seen URL is now appearing many times across many accounts (potentially). So the potential exists this URL gets footprinted - probably not to start with but eventually, then is just 2+2 to figure out what is going on and ban all accounts that were posting it constantly.
Think they'd do you dirty like that?

They are not doing the dirty, they are stopping someone spamming links. They are cleaning house.

I cannot say for sure on twitter, but have seen it on other sites. You may be able to fly under the radar, if you don't spin it out and use it for 100s of accounts and posting it all day every day.

But as with all things, at the end of the day, try it out and see what happens

Maybe if you think you're being spamming and taking it to the next level yeah, you're likely to get detected no matter what. Conservative measures are probably best like you said.

Not sure if I fully understand you, but If you are trying to use a URL shortner to hide the use of adfly links, what do you think twitter considers that? spam.
