HI,
Just recently made this page about music in my area code. I recently got 30 likes now at 50, promoted through musicians section on Craigs**** with just a few links no spamming. Another musician/promoter says that the numbers are fake he was saying that facebook creates fake profiles. They do this to increase reach. I think he is full of SH** and doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. There has been alot of engagement on the page including posts by other members, likes and comments. So reach is impressions right? If I have 49 likes on the page, and the average person has 200 friends on their network of friends. Then mathematically I can see the page easily reaching 1500 people. But im no expert Facebook isnt my niche at the moment. Or ever has been except for managing a page for a dealership I work for, and the reach on that page MAX has been about 200. Check out the screen shots. I havent done any kind of blackhat techniques to the page.
Id like to prove this guy wrong. But I can see where he is coming from after googling "facebook reach algorithm" finding that alot of people are pissed off about decrease in reach unless you are paying for ads through facebook.
Screen shots below. Any more screen shots to help analyze in helping with a conclusion please let me know.
