Also, Im gonna have a blog section to post unique articles to. I was trying to figure out whether or not to put adsense ads into the blog posts. My main concern was the ads taking people off the site and taking away from my actual on-site sales. What do you think?

Ads might NOT look good at your blog.
Just post some banners of your own service.
Make sure they are eye-catching, so even the people reading your blog are from Search Engines, they will click on your banner and will be redirected to your own service page. :)
So, by this way, your sales will increase more.

    But still, its your choice.
    Just my two cents.

I reckon it could ruin your credibility quite a bit. For instance, a customer is looking over your site considering purchasing the services. They hit your blog and see adSense, this will make your site look cheap to them or worse click through an ad and pay your competitor. It would be a shame to leak sales of your own for a few cents from adSense IMHO.
