I'm Making 1200$/month- Good Method for College Students Like Me

im using the baby plan, would that be efficient enough?

wat kind of businesses do u usually attract with these offers?

Hi i have one question for you. So do you buy just one hosting account and host all the websites on that one account or do you buy one hosting account per website per client ? Thank you very much for the help. This seems like a great idea.

the idea is to get one hosting account and host them all on that one. I'm just curious as to if the baby plan for hostgator is sufficient enough for this. Im thinking it is but id like to know for sure

Very useful information. I noticed that you say you buy a domain for them. Have you thought about working with someone that specializes in domains?

Nice thread going here mafiaboy and cograts
on your successful biz.

How do you go about finding a domain name
for their business ?
Do you do a search for available names
and go back and see them to know witch
one they prefer ?

If they don't have an internet account,
what method do you charge them your
recurring $25...post dated checks ?

I don't own a laptop, so i guess it would
be difficult for me to show them examples
of different templates :(

Anyway, keep up the good work :thumb:

Wow, that really does look professional :D

For those of you who don't like speaking to people or if you're too young and think they wont take you seriously you can also do this on ebay.

Throw up a quick website with a few articles on and make it look nice. You can do this on wordpress if you like. Then host it on your own reseller hosting and sell it for about $10 (near enough making no profit). Likelihood is that these people will stick to your hosting. Anyone who has a shared hosting plan or a VPS will most likely be outsourcing their blog creation and not buying blogs. Of course you'll have to charge say $3 a month so you'll need far more sites to make a good income and the dropout rate is probably slightly higher (I havent actually tried this but I have a friend who's been doing this for 6+ months).

Most cheap websites never even sell for .99 cents on ebay so this would seem to be very difficult or a waste of time.

between 66-140$. The newer templates are just ridiculously nice...and i mean NIIIICCCEE like I even flip out with the new templates that are coming out on template monster. Yes you will only make back your money in half a year with that client , but you can use that same template over and over again. Also , with a insane design like those 140$ templates on templatemonster, word of mouth will spread quickly when businesses find out or hear that your client got that type of website FOR FREE with no string attached.

Nice straight forward method OP - You mentioned in another post that you can get flash cs5 on warez forums - don't forget that you can also download alot of pro looking templates (inc some of the template monster packs) from the same forums and edit these. this'll help to keep your template costs down and increase your bottom line.

you could also check out templatesp2p (invite only) but some of the nice guys and gals here on bhw are members already so you could always ask them nicely for an invite.

Another advice, you could also use sites like fiverr to advertise your services, and in the communication with a potential client you have to tell them that they need to buy hosting from the hosting company you're affiliated with if they want a $5 website for their business.

lol i've just set up this plan without reading your thread.... damn i thought i had an idea here.. haha.. anyway.. tips!!....

TIPS:

there is a TON of free newspaper ads to be eaten up. and anything free in newspapers are popular :P

face to face makes the sale!

reseller accounts aren;t needed, but very very advised! its possible just to give a free subdomain, plus make them pay $20 for space, as if they need cpanel anyway lol ;p

thanks for the thread

Mafiaboy, could you possibly tell me where you obtained that Soyer Randel template? I searched Warez, to no avail.

neat idea. Few q's

lets say your client is cheap and says, I am ok to do updates. Can I get access to the code and admin? since they are not under contract with you, they take their code and domain and host it themselves somewhere like netfirms or something that ive seen charges 10 bux per year. How do you protect yourself from them stealing your work you have done for them for free basically after say like 1 month of hosting?

ok question about billing:

Has anyone who has used paypal as their merchant had any issues withdrawing funds? I think I read awhile back that you could only withdraw like $500 per month to your linked checking account. If that's the case, I think you would want to use hostgator's billing setup (although I don't have any details on it).

What do you guys think?

Im going to try this but have to find somebody who can build websites cheap to outsource too

By not giving them access to the hosting and domain.. say that YOU will maintain it for FREE (or whatever) so they will not have any hassle.

Hi @mafiaboy had been doing a smiliar thing for more than an year now but your sounds better as it involves a monthly fee .

Have got into blogs lately ?
Sending you a P.M. if you would like to do venture or share some ideas !

I use siterack for my hosting, Im paying 14.99 for a master reseller acount. Check them out. I found them on ebay they also use cpanel it looks just like hostgator and is ten bucks cheaper with great customer service. Im happy. Im just glad I found a way make a killing with my hosting now lol.

i checked it out but it only shows me a 5.99 and a 11.99 plan

hey dude great plan I think I'll consider implementing it. but question...

Say that you dl those flash templates. will people know if they are actually purchased legitly or if they were downloaded from warez*bb or some torrent site or something. how do you deal with that if they arent actually purchased?
