I'm looking for the most cost-efficient dedicated servers with a high amount of cores available

I'm talking at least Threadrippers or AMD EPYCs.

2x 24 or 48 physical CPU cores would be optimal. 2GBs of ram per physical core at least.

Right now I have a single 24 core Threadripper and looking to expand.

Usecase is scraping Google with a very high number of threads using proxies.

Hetzner has bare metal dedicated ZEN2 Amd EPYCs with 32 cores and 128gigs of memory for about $160. That's the cheapest out there that I know of.

Do scrape carefully tho. They seem to be very strict about their stuff a lot and the support isn't the best.

I have run small projects on their servers and personally never had problems. But have heard some horror stories. That's why their reviews aren't that great.

Do I have to be careful if I use proxies? with SSL they know I'm accessing Google right? just don't know what url.

Yes. With SSL they do know what domains you are hitting up.

And by careful i didn't mean like with scraping and stuff (that ofc is a good practice). I meant being careful with your server usage.

They have this "100% usage only for 24hours" policy. So if you max out your instance and don't stop it within 24hours, they stop the instance right away.

And their support is very unresponsive so getting the instance up is difficult.

In general , you want to prevent getting suspended as much as you can. Cause support won't care about fixing your problems.

Guess that's how they keep their costs this low. Cheaping out on support team so they can spend on hardware

what the hell how is that a dedicated server. I mine monero on my dedis when I'm not using them.

I also used to mine crypto on the two dedicated servers I have with Hetzner. I never experienced any problem so far. If it's a dedicated server, I don't think they will care about the CPU usage.

As long as you use proxies, you will be fine. I used to run GSA and some other SEO tools on these servers 3-4 years ago and never had any problems.

well I'm not sure cause even though it's SSL, they still can see I'm doing 1200 connection to Google lol that can't be legit right?
