I'm in serious trouble with my health...

    I'm in serious trouble with my health. I've pretty much gone insane from insomnia. I'm waiting for a little bit then I will be pumped full of mind numbing drugs that will certainly destroy me. I have no idea when or if I will recover from this. Just wanted to say thanks for this forum. Most likely when I return I will be completely wiped of everything I own due to medical bills and need to start from scratch with some the methods here. If anyone has any suggestions on how to restore a normal sleep cycle please let me know. I will be on probably for a few more hours before I have to meet with a horrible destiny...

    i aprove what thisoldhat said, ive been insomniac too, got drunk every night + sex and you fall asleep like a baby.
    also i dont know what you think about this, but fighting helps a lot too :)

    Find a sport, play it. Make yourself SO TIRED, you have to sleep.

    Don't eat as much. Don't take drugs, they mask your psychological weakness.

    Meditate. Learn to control your energies, Research Chakras, DMT, and the pineal gland.

    Meditate, you know like the stuff that calms you down, also look into something called binarul beats.

    Thanks, but I think drinking is the source of the insomnia because I already have bad GABA receptors from previous (prescribed) benzo use. :(

    structure some time away from sitting at the computer... go outside and do some labor or volunteer - anything - get outside - that'll help you. If you work your ass off physically, I assure you the computer will not draw u into it at night.

    There are a lot of binaural beat cd's out there that are geared to helping a person sleep. I have the software to make them and have made several.

    Go outside exercise, jogging in the park, make yourself tired from physical activities.

    Drink some herbal tea for sleep. It should be on kroger or any healthy food store's shelf.

    For some people, drinking can make you wide awake.

    Also melotonin is OTC, you can try a few, but don't overly rely on that

    Take Melatonin.... Easily obtainable, legal, and cheap. You can get ti at your local grocery store or vitamin / health store.

    I take it from time to time. Helps me enter deep sleep. You wake up feeling much more refreshed... It doesn't put me to sleep but, it makes me sleep longer and I feel a higher quality sleep.

    ............................... optionally you can also drink a bunch of energy drinks. You'll get real hyped up and when it wears off you'll be tired as hell and should sleep easy. Be careful of overdoing it though.

    ............................... Then there's also sleeping pills that you can get without a prescription. those should have you sleeping in about 30min.

    ............................... You can also watch a movie before going to bed. I think a lot and did this for a month straight a movie a night to essentially numb my mind of my regular thought stream and help me fall asleep easier.

    .............................. Physical exercize will definitely help were down some of your energy. Try taking a break every hour or two and lifting some weights for a few minutes just to releave some stress.

    If you are having major health issues, you really should be giving your body as much help as possible so that it can have a fighting chance with whatever you're having done medically. If you can afford it, you should really look into juicing fresh fruits and vegetables - before & after if possible. Drink as much water as you can as well. Try to avoid refined sugar because that weakens your immune system. I don't agree with the alcohol, but if you think that would work best for you, I would try to limit it to a glass of wine. For the insomnia, I would say to smoke some dro, depending on where you live, you may be able to get a prescription for it. That should help you relax, sleep, & if your appetite is affected, it will help with that too.

    Exercise, real exercise not jogging or walking or something like that, a real sport that will really drain you of energy - a contact one will work better. Trust me after 4 hours of hard training I can fall asleep at like 2 in the afternoon.

    Exercise and sex does it for me. You should embark on a regular physical fitness program. If you are in really bad health then you should seek advice from your doctor first. About the sex thing? I'm ready to fall asleep right afterwards - no spooning, no long conversations.

    Water ... drink at least 2 liters of water daily :)

    Discipline - You MUST have a time to sleep and a time to wake up ... For example, go to bed everyday at 11:00 pm and wake up 07:00 am ... by doing this, I am sure your sleep will come naturally ...

    P.S - An exercise activity will help a lot :)

    ive been going to trough the same issues, what i tend to do is take some shots of vodka or whatever u like get tipsy , maybe even have sex and before u do all this excersie, excercise will make you feel better and help ur mind relax .. what ever is on ur mind at night try to work that out by lifting weights.

    Get off the computer and EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE!

    Also extremely helpful:

    1) Drinking hot peppermint or green tea
    2) Valerian root
    3) Kava Kava
    4) Smoking or eating weed (marijuana)
    5) Sex

    I have a lot of ways to put you to sleep for free. (hope this doesn't sound weird)

    Whatever it is that you spend the most time doing you just need to take a break from. Change your eating (stop eating crap), eat more fruits and do some running like other people mentioned.

    Oh & as for the medical bills, I've heard that as long as you pay the hospital/doctors at least $50/mo. they cannot report it on your credit report. Better to pay them slowly than start from scratch, unless you can really afford to pay all up front. If you have good credit, you may also want to set up some business credit now. They will usually check your personal credit when you open the accounts, but after that it's just based on the business credit you establish under that ein. So in case something does go wrong with your personal credit, you can use it as a resource.

    GO TO A FUCKING DOCTOR, Why does everyone come here for medical advice? I mean is this really something you want to take a chance with? Just go to a doctor, and they'll help you much more than we ever can
