I visited china about 8 months ago and personally loved the whole place although I only had 2 days to go sight seeing. One of my favorite places to visit was the Terracotta Army Although the story about how they where found is quite depressing. But if you have some spare time I would deffently recomend taking a look at it. Quite amazing.

Knock on a couple factory doors and get some wholesale hookups! Then share them in jr vip. ;)

Also let us know where the best place you ate at was. Try as many restaurants as you can!

Go to a blackhat shop that sells pirated movies, games, music, you name it.

I went to China about 5 years ago... pretty long time, but my family lives in Changsha, a pretty large urban city.

My cousin brought us to a shop that was about 2-3 stories tall. It wasn't in the downtown area, but it wasn't hidden either. They were selling pirated movies $1 each (8 yen at the time) and pirated games for cheap. I bought about 8 movies, only 6 of them worked, and all of them had spelling errors on the covers lol. I also bought 3-4 games, and NONE of the games worked. Well they did, but I needed the cd-key to play online, and they didn't work...

It's amazing how china just lets these pirates run rampant lol. From my super vague memory, the shop was pretty crowded too...

I think I bought a pirated batman or spiderman dvd..

A day later, we go to the mall, and they advertise that the movie is going to come out in 10 days LOL.

I'm not a particular fan of going to those typical tourist places. Drop by Forbidden City, fine, but, to me, a real day of sightseeing is walking down a major street and absorbing the culture. Eat as much as you can!

I've only been to Shanghai but it was a great experience. Watch out for the taxi drivers at the airport as they will try to rip you off because they know you aren't keen on the exchange rate. Also, the chinese will totally walk right in front of you while your in line at KFC which was kinda weird, I finally had to say no more before they got the picture. What were they going to do, I looked like shaq compared to them. lol My luggage was lost when I got there but I was able to buy a suit, dress shoes, belt, shirt, tie for only like 60 dollars i think. Anyway, have fun on your trip and take a lot of pictures.

Even in China, Canton in the south is reputed to be the place to be for really
good food! Those northerners eat scorpions and grassshoppers and all
sorts of strange things. I rest my case :D!!!

Also, don't expect to see a day with a clear sky.

I was at China for 2-3 weeks and it's polluted as fuck. Every single day it was cloudy.

I also moved around from chengdu, shanghai, beijing, etc. Even when it was super hot and humid it was still cloudy.

you could call shanghai hobo land. There's at least 10 homeless people per block. Crazy huh.

There are tons of ice cream carts.. hell if u go deep into the forests or in a back alley, you'll find an ice cream cart. Last but not least, check out the animal exhibits/"zoos"

They drugged the shit out of this one tiger, and I got to sit on its back while it was half asleep. It was kinda cool, but i felt bad for the tiger =/
