I'm GETTING SHAVED BY FACEBOOK ADS !!!

Hello everyone, i hope you are doing well! It's really hard for me to stay calmed right now,because i'm so angry. My english is bad and sorry about that. Let me explain what just happened!

My ad was paused from yesterday and it's set for 50$ per day. I used to run it for like one hour, mostly at evening (because of Usa audience) and pause them again. My spent amount was around 116$ and i started my ad like two hours ago. The ad had started running. I came back to my ads manager like 30 minutes later and i was shocked...It said that spended amount is 150$...What the hell,are you even real? I was so angry and mad,because this should not happen to anyone! WHEN SET TO 50$ PER DAY,THE AD WILL RUN THE NEXT 24 HOURS AND SPEND 50$,SIMPLE AS THAT. When i took a look at my today's spend,i saw something SUPER RETARDED. Look at the photo below:

So what do we have here? First of all,my ad was running abnormally FAST,which did not happen and it should NOT happen for anyone. Secondly,i was charged 49.90$ for 4.011 impressions and 40+ clicks,which is ABNORMAL and SUPER CRAZY,almost a SCAM! The click price was super crazy high,it started with 1 DOLLAR PER CLICK. This campaign was started 4 days ago maybe, and the click price was around 0.08$ and it should be not more then 0.10$ in worst case scenario. Third,this happens me for the second time,it happened before already,two weeks ago maybe. Same like today,it just jumped 40-50$ in crazy fast period of time. I want you to TAKE CARE and monitor your spended amount carefully. Something weird is going on with them right now! Let's wait for an answer from those SCAMMERS, i'll keep you updated here!

Why it can spend more for you on a day (over your budget) is because they look at your daily spend limit vs. days of campaign. If 7 days x $50 then they will try to average $50 a day spend. Some days they may spend $100 some days they'll spend $20 -> in end will be $50 a day average. But certainly does seem weird it went to $150 for a $50 daily budget.

Normal. If you have a 50 per day budget and turn it on by the end of the day, It will spend super fast to try to spend the total budget in the remaining time. And yes, your cpc will skyrocket because their algo will try to send to as many people as possible because it has very few time. They are not "scamming" , it's just you that don't understand how it works.

No mate. Whenever you set 5,10 or 50$ per day,from that moment the amount needs to be spent equally in the next 24 hours. And it always worked like that for me,i could swear it worked like that. Unless you use that special option to spend your budget as fast as they can. The ads should be working equally during the day and night,and optimize themself slowly. What you are saying is - if i start my ad at 23:50 in the evening,it will spend 50$ in the next 10 minutes until 00:00. It's not working like that,come on mate.

I am not really sure if I understood this right, but I would say 2 things:

1) You created new account to bitch about your problem, and maybe save your 'guru one' (just an opinion, could be mistake)

2) You need to find out when your day is over at Facebook ADS Manager (when day restarts)

To explain this 2)

When you set your ad live/approved/running doesn't necessarily means that new ad day is in 24 hours. It could be in 18 hours.

You pause your ad and let it run 30min before new day (but you have no idea that new day is starting in 30min) and FB just burn your cash out and give you a bit more of impressions, but fuck you up, especially if the current time is sleep time for your audience.

So, this was done because there is only 30min and certain budget for the day left.

Advice: You never run FB AD more than 24 hours


Edit: new day at FB ADS Manager could be 9AM your local time, or any other. Make sure to find that out.

Yes, mate, that's how it works, like the guy above mentioned. You are clearly clueless about how FB ads work and is complaining. Just do a test then, set $200 dollars, and 2 hours prior the end of the day turn it on. Good luck getting it burned in 2 hours. It won't happen like 30 minutes prior the end of the day, but with a little more time chances it will run and send to a bunch of people with the worse pricing possible.

Read carefully next time! FB Ads do say that the total spent may vary can can be over set limit. FB servers update couple times an hour, it will continue spending until next ‘update kicks in’.

i have a tshirt site that i could never get any ads to work for with facebook. Or it could be the fact that I suck at facebook ads.

I look at these guys that are doing 100k in sales from ads and I am like what the heck are they doing that I am missing.

All i can say is keep at it maybe one day you will get rewarded.
