I have a site that's less than 2 months old and I built a Google+ profile for it. I'll usually share either a link to a particular post on my site or a niche-related photo (with no link) once a day. Right now, that profile has about 300 followers and each time I post out something, it gets 30 - 80 +1's. I've noticed that if I post a photo and that photo receives +1's, then those +1's get passed along to my main site (but if I share a link, then the +1's for that get passed on only to that particular link.) Also, I didn't realize the link posting feature until recently (only started to learn the ropes for G+ this year) and I used to post links by posting a photo and placing the link in the caption which resulted in +1s on the photo and the homepage receiving the credit for the +1's. So now, my homepage is sitting on about 1900 +1's for a site that's less than 2 months old and getting only about 10 unique visitors a day. Would it be worthwhile to continue collecting G+ +1's this way? It seems pretty easy: just post a high quality photo related to my niche and it instantly receives like 50 +1's within 24 hours which adds to the +1 Share Count for my homepage. Or will Google misinterpret what's going on and think I'm buying +1's or something?
