I think when its earning nicely, then it becomes like a real job. After that its just organization which isn't hard.

Interesting thread! I'll have finished Uni in a few weeks in the UK and want to start IM seriously, i already make good money but not through any "official" WH means.

What i'm going to do for sure is set up a timetable and stick to it, and stop browsing BHW religiously for hours :)

I actually have an office I go to just as if I was working for someone else. I make daily lists of what I need to do (something I learned in the 80's when I worked for a big corporation) and check the list off when I complete a project.

I don't answer my phone during my work day unless it is my wife and she won't call unless it is an emergency. I take regular breaks to clear my head but when I do to work, I go to work.

I have learned over the years that even if you are mediocre in what you do, if you out work the other guy, you'll do well.

If you can't make decent bank maybe a full time job is for you... if you can make upwards of 10K a month doing IM maybe that should be your full time job. ;)

There are a few things i do as an full time IM, just a few tips that can help

    - a short or long term goal (keeps you focused)
    - determination
    - scheduling (i work from 10 to 14)
    - daily and long term to do lists (just write down what you want to complete)
    - persistence my friend is the key, just keep doing it, if it's not working just change something and start over again, but never give up.

Always think positive and imagine yourself achieving all you want - "start thinking like the person you want to become"

I hope you have plenty of funds saved in case of emergency or massive fall off in earnings which can happen. It's all about staying motivated, on task and making goals.

This is exactly what I do. Works well for me. I tried all kinds of "getting things done" and "organizational/time management" software, etc. and it was more of a hassle just keeping up with my organizational methods than actually doing the work.

At the end of every day I make a list of shit to do tomorrow. Check off as I go. Also on that list is the things that outsourced labor is supposed to get done. I check on that twice a day and make the appropriate adjustments as I go.

Sunday nights are when I plan my week and/or month. What do I want to have accomplished by the end of the week/month? I write it down then dispurse it to a reasonable daily task list.

It's really easy. Just do it. Good stuff ,BassTrackerBoats. Let's go fishing sometime. :D

I'm good to go on the fishing, Dude, in addition to the Tracker boat, I have a kick ass 32' Sail boat that is super for sucking up the fresh air.

Sometimes we fish off of that, catch some nice fish and clean and grill them right on the deck.

What is a little eerie is that I also plan my week on Sunday evenings... a couple of hours in the study with no radio/TV/noise and I get a boat load of stuff prepared.

think you need a bunch of non related sites that earn money set-up

you need all the software tools you can - related to the niches/sites you intend to make money from

need to have email/youtube/cl accounts available and be able to make them in size

need to have some sort of proxy solution available

once you have these then your ready to be full time - but the actual money making depends on your will to succeed - cause its easy to get knocked down a few times before you succeed.

Actually most of my sites are related in a sense. I have mainly business sites and talk about various businesses and how to make money offline.

The good thing about that is I can interlink them and if Visitor X goes to site A, he may also go to Site B because of the link.

I've got a couple of "hobby" sites that are not business minded and not interlinked and don't make more than 50.00 or so a month from them.
