I'm determined to make $10k using autoblogging and SEO(daily log)

This is now my log of my (long) journey to make at least $1k profit online using blogging, or failing that, anyway possible.
My websites I currently own are:
theiphoneguide.info - Up and running with ads. Not keyword optimized yet.
new-tech-info.com - Up and running with ads. Not keyword optimized yet.
svpetsitter.com - Soon to be autoblog.

I'll keep this topic updated daily(possibly every other day) to keep myself on track if there is a interest in it, which there should be since myself and any other aspiring autobloggers. I invite anyone and everyone to post their stories and questions in this thread, as we can all learn from each other.
Anyways, onto my current problems.

Everyday I'm going to post some small goals, and if I complete them I will edit the post and add a "Completed!" or something to effect. I I complete them all, then I'll add more.


Today's Goals 8/29/2010
1) Fix the slow load time in WPadmin FINISHED!
2) Clean up unnessasary themes and plug-ins FINISHED!
3) Fix my cron jobs so content is posted automatically. UNFINISHED! I still need an answer on why this isn't working!

Today went well.
I added ads to my two main sites, fixed the slowness, and thought of several new ideas. I also may have a potential investor now! I emailed my rich Uncle about how he could easily SEO his site. We talked, and he said potentially he would invest if I provided good business plan with a decent turnover time, he would be willing to invest around 1k. Seeing as he is willing to invest, I'm raising my goal to $10,000.

Anyways,I have a few questions which since last time no one answered my Q's, whoever answers all my questions to the full extent with good detail better than anyone else, will be sent $5 to their paypal. Just for helping out, you can get paid. That's how serious I am about this goal.


1) What do I need to do next? I have the websites, the ads, the content, now how do I get the traffic? I own Market Samarai, a keyword researching program, so I have a few keywords I want to rank for in Google. The problem is, I don't know how.


1)By the way, what do most people design their site in? I'm willing(and wanting) to learn. If I had to guess what they code in, I'd say html mixed with .php? Or do people even code sites anymore, and just create them in Dreamweaver and another program?
If you can design autoblogs that are fully SEO,look good, and will increase my CTR, please shoot me a PM, maybe we can work a deal out.


2)Also, cron jobs. I'm using Wp-o-matic(should i change to WProbot or does it really matter?) and it told me to use a cron job, so i did. I was compatible with simple pie and all that good stuff. Hostgator is my host and they use CPanel. My cron job looks like this :

But nothing is updating. It's not automatically getting content from the feeds. So whats the problem? Is the timing wrong or something? should I use something better?


3) I have a potential investor of up to $1000, so what could I invest that on to help make my autobloggging take off?
In other words, if you were a new autoblogger with $1000, what would you spend it on?

4)I need to learn SEO. Or I need to learn how to do this business. Basically, I need a teacher. PM if you know anyone, payment IS an optuib

All the best for your venture. Here are the answers to your questions.

1. Take 5 keywords( I hope you have used Market samurai properly). Depending on the Competition build some solid backlinks. If there is low competition I few would be enough.

2. Wp-o-matic is good. Maybe the feeds which you hve used itself is not good. i.e its not updating with new content. Make sure you take quality feeds.

3. $1000 can get you a lot of stuff. Do your market research properly. Buy around 50 domain names build autoblogs on it and buy scrapebox or I strongly suggest you to hire someone to do it for you (like me ) And keep building backlinks for your webiste. Eventually you can get all the 50 websites to the first page ( If the competition is low.

4. Shoot me a pM. Ill teach you whatever I know. And send me the links to your website ill do some on site SEO for you for free.

Good luck with your goal, but don't expect reaching it in just a couple months. It's going to take time to build up your sites and bring in consistent traffic to monetize.

Remember to experiment with different offers, I don't recommend using Adsense or any Google tools for that matter with your blogs. Make sure not to create a link farm with your blogs, as this will only hurt them.

If your sites are aged, utilize some services in BHW like xrummer to get you going. If they are brand new sites, you need services like SENuke to establish your sites and get you ranking. Outsouce this work as it's tedious.

If you find an offer that's working really well for you create a review page, and funnel traffic from your autoblogs to it.

The other poster was right about time. This is going to take a very long time for you to do. Just make sure you have reasonable expectations for this!

Being a cynical git I'm highly suspicious of this post. I can't remember which forum (highly likely DP) but someone started off with a very similar thread to this. A diary of progress.

He grew a HUGE following as he showed increasing success - lo-and-behold a few months down the line he'd put together a PDF of how he was now raking in the cash. Of course he was only charging a small amount as his time was precious but people snapped it up like fish on a hook.

It was like one long sales letter. I hope that isn't the case here.

i would most definitely use WPRobot as it is a better plugin. I used WP-o-Matic in the past and WPRobot is much easier for me to set up and post with. I have over 100 autoblogs using it right now.

Another thing I would use is WPUnique and set it to "Truly Unique" mode as that makes your posts appear completely unique to the search engines giving you a much better ranking. I have autoblogs ranking 1st page with these methods.

Today, after school I got on adsense and saw that I had gotten 19 clicks today! Bringing in $6.48 earned. That suprised me, I guess the new layout works great!

Anyone who makes money does this, and its a great idea! It's not like he wasn't working hard up until that point.




Anyways, I plan on keeping focused, and yes I know it will take some time, but if I can make good money quick, imagine how much I could make after time?
I'm thinking about investing in SEnuke and Scapebox, anyone know aything about either?

honestly you not even get 20 visitor organic .

Try search tools on bhw lot of tutorial autoblog

I get about 300 Unique Visitors a day and have made $12 within my 1st month of autoblogging, should I really take advice from you naysayers?

offtopic. how would autoblogs on free hosting subdomains rank? i dont believe domains are so important. or are they?

I got lazy today It's gonna be hard to keep up with my autoblogs and school, but I can manage, money always brings my attention to work. I might consider hiring an assistant. I'm just going to set at least one goal a day on the days I can work, and see if I can't accomplish more.

However that $5 in paypal is still up in the air for those questions! I'm going to repost them, and I'm changing a few of them slightly. If you can answer them all with detail, I will pay you $5 paypal.

3) I have a potential investor, so I'm looking to buy tools that will greatly increase my sucess.
Should I look into getting SEnuke and Scrapebox? Perhaps some xrumer blasts? Or should I just buy like 100k traffic to my sites for now?
Or just spend it developing more sites? Although I'd rather have consistent traffic to my existing sites than devolp more sites with no traffic.

I decided to make a smaller goal of $1k, just to be more reasonable, and so I have something more immediately reachable. But 10k is still my all time goal.
