Guess I should tell you all about me. My last vacation was 16 days on the tropical islands off Nicaragua - the Corn Islands. That was Dec. 25, 2012 - (something like) Jan. 9, 2013. I like to escape, err, I mean I like to travel. Prior to this, within the past 10 years, I have spent 5+ years traveling. The formula is easy - save money, travel, run out of money, come back home - tail between legs, earn more money, travel again. My name is Phillip. I live in Texas. In the past 10 years I have visited: Mexico (Many times as I speak Spanish) Guatemala (lived here 3+ YEARS) Honduras (scuba diving, got my PADI scuba dive master cert here - 8+ months) Nicaragua (cannot even say what I did here, other than scuba diving, coconuts, beer for breakfast - I'll stop there) Colombia (left quickly) Venezuela (almost got into a boatload of trouble) Peru (both times I visited I swear I almost died in this country) France (Drove through, spent an evening, with Denise) Switzerland (3 months with Denise, mmmmmmmm, how nice that was!) Spain (2 weeks with Denise and friends) Thailand (One month including 2 days of a 10 day fast, no speaking Buddhist retreat I failed miserably) Malaysia (3 weeks on a 150 foot super yacht baby! Free.) Indonesia (2 weeks in a Bali layout + airfare, also free, compliments of the super yacht owner and his wife, how sweet is that?) Cambodia (just missed Hillary Clinton's visit as Secretary of State to Angkor Wat by two weeks, maybe she can see me next time) Where have you guys been? How did it work out for you?
