Trying to start off small.. The keyword is in the health niche. the keyword is 6 words long. Someone already has a exact keyword domain thats on the first page, but it looks dated and i'm curious if i can beat it or not. It only gets around 1900 exact searches a month,

my plan: register a similar exact keyword domain, throw up some really unique content, backlinks, etc...

Here is what market samurai is telling me... As a newbie, can i go for this? I realize this is a newbie question, this will be my first micro niche site, so it's more of a learning experience rather than making money.

I'm going to use all the info i've read here on BHW for my SEO game plan.. So i shouldn't have a problem ranking this as long as i do it right?

Only you can answer that question. Whether you think you can or you cant, either way you are right.

    Yes, you can rank that.
But a plan and understanding would be needed.

I think it can make money, its geared towards diet/health/weight loss which seems to be a big market.
I chose this keyword because it had low exact search count monthly (1900), and because the competition is low (i think? lol) - i figured it would be perect for a newbie trying to learn the ropes like myself

the reason i made this thread was to find out if the competition is too high or too low for this particular exact keyword.

Is the keyword geared more towards a customerpotentially buying a product or solely for researching free info?

Also, have you checked out your potential competitors backlinks to see where they're coming from and what type of value they bring?

I have not went in depth with checking all the back links, what would be the best way to do this?

the keyword does not have any brand name in it, it's basicly something like "how to get rid of bed bugs", but geared towards health/diet. people who are searching for the term are interested in quick weight loss.

i think you are in the right path. you should go for it and i think you will get success in a little time. but think about the other site... why he has left the site? why he is not working with it ? there must be a reason. right?

Thats what I was thinking. I'm really not sure if the other guy left the site for the dogs or not, he has not written an article in 2 months. I think i'm gonna go for it... I was able to snag a almost exact keyword domain for this keyword for just 2 bucks.. I just hope the competition is not to hard for me to rank, I'm still a newbie when it comes to decyphering market samurai stats lol
