Its gonna be such a fail of a project. I just cant imagine people using and wearing it. Smart Phones are good enough to capture 'the moment'. Google are trying a little too hard on coming up with something new. Just my thoughts.

Agree and disagree. I mean, look at iPhone v1. That is now the UGLIEST looking phone after you start looking at the latest versions. No different then in this situation. There are just pioneering a new type of technology. While it may look ugly now, if they can keep the cost under $500, it'll be huge in 2-3 years.

This is my guess over the next 5 years...

2 years from now: They team up with an eyewear company like rayban, it has a slimmer profile, pinhole camera, and glass is 3/4 thinner

4-5 years from now: Battery is liquid running internally throughout the glasses and the screen is embedded right into the glass frames that is voice operated to turn on and off.

I think it will catch on, but only with younger people predominantly. There always seems to be fast adoption with new things by youth. Most of us got started with pc's when we are young, and wouldn't think of using anything except a desktop to get the internet, then next generation, used laptops, now generation use tablets and mobiles, and the next will be google ass, i mean glass.

The only reason why it would succeed is because Google is funding it lol.

    Epic Pic.

Those who say it will be a fail project, unfortunately I believe not. Google is the biggest website in the world, they're profit just rose 16% more than expected, they're really good at marketing, and they have a HUGE Audience. They can make any product popular, and I cannot see this failing eventhough I see G Glasses to be useless in many cases... but it will go trendy, no doubt.

i wouldn't. lif is distracting enough. dont want to get run over by a car bc i was checking my site stats while i crossed the street lol.

also full featured device would have wifi, 3g, gps, bluetooth. that's 4 frequency bands of electromagnetic radiation. i dont even like to keep my phone close to me unless i actually go out or something. i heard of people that have to be on a cell phone for 8 hours straight bc that's their job. they get ill and it doesn't take years. not necessarily cancer and hardcore stuff but it does affect them.

they keep saying this radiation isn't really dangerous. that's bullshit. there's a vid on YT with some base jumpers that went on an antenna to jump and their camera stopped working and they started to get dizzy before they even reached the top. ofc that was a high power antenna but thats not the point. low power is the same, the effect is just smaller and takes time to accumulate into symptoms.

the whole concept of radiation has even been used in reverse - building devices that improve your vitality, health, focus, etc. by emanating EM radiation on a certain frequency in tune with certain brain frequencies.
