Difficulty and ease in this case would refer to how likely it would be to make money

Id say youtube and youtube on all counts.

Video better. Ability to add links in descriptions. People more likely to watch a youtube video if they stumble on it anywhere or if it lands in their inbox someplace. People go to yotube to find solutions to problems. Youtube videos can rank on google.

Youtube all the way man.

How can people say that Youtube is easier? You can literally just post images with quotes on IG and build up a following. On Youtube, you actually have to make an entertaining video which can take hours or days for even a 5-10 minute video.

That used to work eons ago. Good luck growing your IG with that strategy now. (Unless you're blackhatting and putting the account at risk)

There are still accounts that do that and they aren't doing anything black-hat. Even adding text in the post is going to be a lot less work than making a Youtube video.

OP is giving 4 Options

that means you never tried to grow a page in instagram before.
even with a good strategy or money, you can not achieve something good in Instagram.

Depends on your niche. But I would say you should build Youtube reputation at first and then boost it with Instagram.

No platform can make you rich. It's your work and content/product/service that makes you rich.

I say IG for small videos and you can easily build up your followers and no need to request them to subscribe your channel.

Show me an Instagram post making you - or having the potential to make you - money 5 years after being posted?

I'll show you a Youtube video that can :)

It's not about money its about ease, it takes hours to make a video to upload to Youtube, meanwhile a post to IG takes a few minutes.

As my operation currently leans towards IG, this is the kind of answer that makes me reconsider it!
Although, still sticking IG for certain things. Youtube definitely holds the victory for LTV on your content *if* you deliver "quality."
Content that earns you $ over longer time frames, tend to prove more valuable.. But even that doesn't necessarily make you richer, if you could leverage the impact of that content repeatedly on IG & produce a similar more effective response in shorter time frames.

That said, you can leverage one platform to "success" on the other. So, the route taken depends on individual. "Richer" depends on the strategy, aims, & methods; i.e. Richer also depends on the individual.

I'd pick IG 20x out of 10, but that's based on an individual choice. Youtube could just as effectively accomplish what I seek, it would just require a different (not necessarily harder) set of labor that I chose not to partake at this time lol.
