I've been checking this journey every day for the last week, really interesting.
Not really surprised cause our MA brothers are used to these results and more.
Gonna get back to shopify soon after exams, i'm planning to use IG too, may i know what bot r u using !
Keep it Up Bro, & keep us updated
Best luck.
Thank you man! wish you luck too
I'm using NinjaGram to follow/Unfollow
Yeah, that's a good point. Getting 500 followers first so people don't think you are a scam, and then start doing the DM. Makes sense! I'm not 100% sure if that's enough to just follow and like a post, but who knows, I guess you have more results than I do :) At the moment, my price multiplier on each item is 2, meaning if a product costs me $1 on AE, I charge $2. HOWEVER, in my DM's and Instagram bios, I mention discounts between 25-50%, meaning that I'm basically giving it for free. Do you think it's better to just remove ALL discounts and lower the price to $1.20 for example (if we use the $1 product on AE example)???

I didn't mean where I set up the store. I meant, should I offer worldwide shipping? Until yesterday, it was US shipping only.

Strange that I get 30-40 visits per day (only 20 yesterday though) and no add to carts...I think price may be too high, since I'm offering the discount. Probably better to do no discount or very little discount (10%), instead of doubling price and offering 50% discount. What do you think? BTW, I already offer FREE SHIPPING and NO TAX.

I always look at dashboard...doesn't really give me an indication of what's wrong, I just see visitors come from Facebook/Instagram but no one purchases anything. Where should I look for more details? Most my visits are United States, btw, so I know it's quality. My site just isn't converting them for some reason....

Oh and with regards to bit.ly, just redirect, no advertising or anything

Yeah i will start DM & likes today with that new account and will see if it will take up my conversion a little bit higher!
Keep the discount! i have been " running " one too since i started, i think it helps, also try to get a countdown app too!
If you buy a product for 1$ u need to sell it for 8.95$ minimum or more!
I have worldwide shipping offer , but still 80% of my clients are from us
Man if you get 30-40 visits and 0 add to cart, lets face it, in my opinion its bad and it means whether the product is bad or the price is very high
Btw i have never used DM or post likes since i started , and still i get conversion!
my tip is add more products untill you find ur winning product, and then base your new products on your winning product for more winning products

Hmmm interesting. Basically if I charged 8x the cost of my purchase, my products would probably be way too expensive. I was thinking to charge less than I am now but without 50% discounts. Maybe it devalues the product and brand too much. When you say winning product...I have like 50 products on the store. My home page has best seller section, two features product and new arrivals section. They see best sellers first in a slideshow and then two large images for featured products and then new arrival deals on slide show. Maybe the best sellers (first products they see) aren’t good enough...literllay have no clue lol.

Wait dude,, 2$ wasn't an example? u were really going to charge 2$? lol thats not gonna work man and what will u get? with paypal fees & shopify fees? u need to sell 100 pieces a day to make a profit lol
you need to run a discount, it really helps , i have one running anyway, and also i have a friend of mine, he was selling for 12$ no one bought it, and when he change it to 34$ he started getting sales lol, its really weird tho, but u need to test alot , for 2$ try to charge 9.99$ or more, eventually if someone likes it , he will buy it for sure.
like for me i sell for 10-15$ and im sure i sell it so cheap because stats shows that over 50% buys more than 2 pieces, i might increase to 20$ if i get more customers
- my website is very very simple, there is a slideshow on top, collection list with 4 categories , thats all , and a small description of the brand with newsletter subscribe , thats all

Hey man,
Just started a shopify store and was wondering if I could get your 2 cents since you seem to have had a lot of success.
Any chance we could connect? Not sure how to reach out to you privately via BHW..
Thank you!
- Jacob

You can just PM me through BHW.

Hey,

My bad. I will give you a real example. Product I am sourcing from AE for $6.99. On my website, I charge $13.99. It's basically a crock top t-shirt. In my opinion, charging 5x the price that I source it at (which would be $35), would be too high, in general and compared to competition, so no one would actually go and purchase it.

Remove paypal fees/shopify fees, I'm still earning a nice profit...

I decided to make all my instagram accounts offer a 5% discount to followers, and then have a wheel spin app on my store which offers anywhere between 5-10% discount so that I can start to build an email list as well. Also, 5% off makes the products seem more valuable.

If I still don't get sales in 3-4 days from now, I'll actually test that idea of increasing price. Other than that, I can also try changing up the items in the featured section, since maybe the visitors coming to the page aren't that interested in those products...hard to know

Why are you dropshipping clothes at all?
You don't want your IM life to be a little bit easier?
Read more about drop shipping clothes from other people all over the internet. Only a few of them don't give up and those who survive have a lot of negative feedback.

Get rid of those products and find new ones.
Thank me later.

Hey, that's just a small example..it's a yoga shop to be honest so there's lots of different yoga products. Apparel happens to be one of those items. You think I should remove it all together? I definitely see how it can be an issue...sizes being off (especially since being sourced from AE) and therefore having to deal with a lot of returns. Any thoughts?

With regards to discounting...that's true. I think because I'm challenged and not sure of the right price point and/or right products, I'm going in circles in my mind as to what the answers could be and what I should be doing that will impact my store...hmmmm

Of course! Try micro niche, it may work!
That's a good idea. I already mentioned that my niche is Yoga (I don't care, people can compete with me if they want)...
So, I guess micro-niche would be yoga socks
And then website categories would differentiate between types of yoga socks
Obviously all assuming that AE has at least 3-4 different TYPES of yoga socks LOL
