I am a little confused about traffic stats for an iframed site.

I was to have 2 sites. Site 1, which is a site with an iframe and Site 2 which would be the iframed site.

If i was to send traffic to Site 1, so the unique views also count on Site 2. Would the referer for Site 2 show Site 1, or the original referer that Site 1 would see?

    So for example

if i sent 10 people from facebook to site 1, site ones referer stats would show facebook as the referer. But would site 2 show site 1 at the referer, or would it also show facebook as the referer?

It will show Site 1 (referer will be seen from the site in which iframe is placed).

If you want, you can cloak it. For example buying the domain blabla.com and redirecting it to the Site 2. And then using that domain in the Site 1 iframe code.

Now you can drive iframed traffic from dozens of different sites, it will (at least google analytics do) always show the visitors coming to the Site 2 from blabla.com

    Hope this will help.
