Ok first of all I would like to introduce myself around here.I am a musician that has recently got addicted to the IM world. This site has become a daily visit for me and a big help to learning the basics.I hope I can also contribute some knowledge later on down the line!

I have been scammed 2 times in the last 6 months the first time was for $1800 and the second for $3500.I was promised 60 review sites that would be targeting amazon and adsense.I was told I would easily make $80-$100 per site each month.I agreed to pay 5 k total for the project and the work was never completed.

I have lost almost all hope for any online investments opportunity's to be legit.Does anyone actually do real work and run a professional business on here? What type of monthly return should I realistically be expecting per month off of a 10 k initial investment.Any good ideas on investments that are safe but will generate me a nice monthly return?

I got layed off from my job and this money to me over a year and a half to save so its very important that I start generating a nice passive income pretty fast. Thanks in advance for your help , I am sure you all will have some great ideas!

    Well,
most of the guys on the service section are legit and do a perfect job as they advertise.
You just need to invest wisely.

Check out Flippa, it's a site where people buy and sell websites (established or not). Just make sure to check sellers feedback to make sure they can be trusted. :)

    here's my personal two cents:

if you approach this market from the mentality of "where can I invest money?" you should just take that money and find a nice charity to give it to - your money will be better off, and chances you'll get a nice postcard or invitation to some thank you dinner.

if, however, you approach IM from the mentality of "how can I build a system where every $100 I put into it, I get $200 back", then having 10k in reserve will be a very very helpful thing to have, to be able to make it so that once you figure out where the profit is, you'll be easily able to dump resources towards it to make even more profit..

this market will bite you hard if you don't know what you're doing. Once you figure out where the profit is and learn how to manage it, however, the returns on cash invested can be fantastic.

if the project was never completed follow up with who you bought it from. Some suppliers you have to keep bugging to get the product done. If you bought it from an advertised post on this forum, and they're not getting back to you, there's a shit list for that. If it was some other forum, likely a similar feature as the shit list. In the future, consider smaller purchases or escrow if you're spending a good portion of your investment money.

Eh, it's not really IM, but if you want, you can buy some wholesale, have me broker it for you real quick, and make some money off of that.

IM isn't really get rich quick. If you want to make even more money, you can sell the stuff I can get on CL or ebay, but that would take longer. Just a thought.

lol i was pretty much in this situation when i first started IM. i had 10k to my name and was determined to make IM work for myself. i figured that the best way to approach it was to be able to generate results (good or bad) as quickly as possible so that i could learn from them and build upon them in subsequent attempts. and i wanted to do it fast because the longer i waited, the less money i'd have as i'd need to spend it on living expenses.

so i decided to do ppc due to the fact that it got me pretty much instantaneous traffic and i could see results within just a few days. my plan was to put down $100 at a time, run a test for a few days, compile the results, improve my plan based on them, and then do it again. so if it takes me 1 week to run a test, then with $10k, i could do this 100 times over a span of about 2 years before i went bankrupt. and the hypothesis was that i'd figure out how to make a profit somewhere before that happened.

keeping in mind i was a complete noob at the time, i wanted to create a system to give myself the best chance at succeeding in the shortest amount of time regardless of how much i sucked at it, so this is what i came up with. i don't think it's possible for anyone to try the same thing 100 times in a row and fail every single time. success would happen if even just by accident. i think most people fail at IM because they either give up too early, or because they divide their focus too much as to never get really good at any one thing.

Start with small investments that can be scaled up. Once that you see they do work, start scaling. There's no reason and it's risky for a starter, to invest that kind of money on their first projects. Never pay the full payment before you see the work done.

dont buy one site for the whole amount.
spread out your investment and work with the pages.

to start what i have seen here
buy some micronichesites ... one member is offering a google 1 place with this site as well. that i would consider. buy one ...see if it really reaches the top spot in google. see how much money you make with it and then buy more if you are happy with it.

For $10k/mo I think $3k/mo is realistic, even $1k is a good ROI actually.

Or you could just establish a brand and setup an online company, wed dev, content writing, web design etc and just scout fiverr, odesk, vworker, etc

so you lost twice and you keep doing same mistake with invest :?

do small invest and make the actual tests and be involved - pay people to make you work in proper manner on small cash (hundreds)
when you know actually SOMETHING then invest in developing it long term and then scale
first rule of investors is to know what to invest into
first rule in web is to develop something you like and wont get bored in time
be involved mentally and spiritualy dont just throw money .. otherwise buy gold and oil :D or put money in jv with venture capitalists hehe

Your problem is you are desperate for passive income with money to spend..A scammer's wet dream...

Beware on any forum I'd say about 80%+ aren;'t who they are or do what they say.

Use your common sense..if it was that easy to set up $100+ passive days per site that scammer would simply set up 1,000+ himself and not bother with selling it. NEVER listen to "excuses" reasons why they sell it. Use your common sense. The reason they offer it must pass your B*S* meter and if it doesn't, run.

Having said all of that, there are some golden nugget opportunities every where. BUT..tread slowly and carefully.

Hi Alexis. I am horrified at hearing of your plight. What about the music man? Can you not make money off that? I know a few industry bigwigs, send me your myspace/music and we will see if we can not only multiply your 10k but bring your world wide fame as well. Peace hombre

I wouldnt buy a ton of ready made sites. Even if you were not scammed, youd probably have problems managing these sites. I recommend to buy an account at (Censored By Moderator - We Do Not Allow Promotion of Other Forums) forums, the investment is definitely worth it.

start an online lending company... e.g. lend $100 through paypal and automatically set it to bill the lendee $4 everyday for the next 30 days. You get $20 bucks for this transaction. Of course this is a very big risk so I suggest that you set a low lending limit.

Take your 10k and invest wisely on beer and hookers!

With your mentality i'd stick to a day job...

You can't go online and think your gaurenteed to make money by just buying thinks that has claims to make money.

Everything on this planet requires blood sweat and tears to churn out cash|!!!

Yeah if you look at the bigger picture it definitely IS get rich quick.

Correct me if I'm wrong but to get a six figure job in the real world you have to:

    1) Go to College/Uni for 4 or so years which is only to get qualifications. You're not guaranteed a job directly after you leave

    2) Find a good job which can be tough in the current economic climate (in all likeliness you'll work a crappy job for 1-2 years before being hired into a good one)

    3) Once you get hired into a good paying job the starting salary won't be anywhere near 100k (unless you become an investment banker or something)

    4) Depending on how hard you work get promoted a couple times in order to reach a six figure salary. I have no clue how long this would take but I guess maybe 5-6 years? And that's all assuming you don't get laid off.

So thats roughly 12 years in order to be earning 100k/yr, if you want to become a Doctor, Lawyer or something else along those lines it's going to be even longer.

Now let's compare that to IM'ing, which if you take seriously, you could be earning double or even triple than in half the time (or even less!). It all depends on how much work you're willing to put in.

Hey OP. You say that you got laid off from your day-job and you want passive income. If you do not have a job, why not take a more active approach? Unless you are caring for a sick relative or something, I think one of your most important resources is time. Plus you have some money. The world is your oyster!

Do you have enough time to go to the post office about 3 times a week? Can you spend some hours packing stuff every week? Got another couple of hours keeping in touch with customers? Then Ebay is your friend. You can easily get 10-30% ROI every month. You can make even more by exploiting famous brands on Ebay and still not get caught. There is a safer way of dealing with replicas than selling LV handbags or Chanel sunglasses.

Also, where do you live? All nations have their advantages and disadvantages when it comes to IM and legislation.

Still looking only for a passive income and have an Ebay account? Send the money to me and I will do the work for you. We can talk about my cut over IM :)

Thanks for everyone's great responses so far!

Here is the deal I have worked for a concrete company for almost all my working life and its a very hard job and demanding on your body.I am in NO way against putting in some blood sweat and tears,as long as I am away from the construction field.

I live in kansas City Mo but am thinking about making a move to Phoenix.I want to clear up exactly how I got scammed.I was promised by a member of another forum 50 sites that generate $100 each site a month.I agreed on 5 k and sent 1.5 upfront.None of the work got done so I filed a paypal dispute and got my money back.

I was then recommended by a friend to a genttleman named DanTheSeoGuy.I have seen examples of Dan's work and felt comfortable with him.He said he could finish the job no problem and asked for half upfront so I sent it.Two months later nothing was finished and again had to file a dispute.

All I am looking for is something that can generate me 3k a month even if I have to sell on ebay I already have good feedbacvk and seller rating on there. Please keep the ideas coming, this is a huge help!
