Hey, I'll make this quick and to the point.

I work part time as a shuttle driver in a town full of restaurants. About 3-6 times a shift, I'll be asked by someone in the shuttle van "Do you have recommendations on where to eat?"

The thought occurred to me about a month ago that this was an opportunity.

So, I went to two of the best tasting/most expensive restaurants and made a deal.

Fast forward to now and whenever someone asks me which place to eat, I hand them a small "Get $10 off" business type card. Whenever the designated restaurants get a customer who hands them one of these cards, I get $10 too. So far, I have been averaging about $150-200 a week in referral commissions.

Can't believe I didn't do this any sooner.

Food for thought, and happy to answer your questions if any.

You are in a unique position offline marketing. Completely offline.

Now approach the best resturants in town and offer referals for a little higher rate., working up until you hit resistance. The resistance point will tell you the real value of the referral.

If the two who are paying you to refer people now will verify that to potential new restaurants, you could approach some of the better restaurants in town,,explain that you are in the position to provide referrals.

Tell them you would like to come by and check out the restaurant and talk to the manager about it. Leave the two people you do referrals for now to verify that you really do send in customers.

I bet you money they will call and comp you a meal to showcase their work and get the referrals along with the referral fee..

Milk the situation until I cannot milk no more. I love it Techxan, wise words. Free food and higher commissions... I'm going to start on this tomorrow.

    Cheers!

IDK if your current restaurants will backup your story... might need to find other proof
