Let's say a major clothing brand like lets say...Tommy Hilfiger just decided to hire you for some IM/SEO. Obviously you would try to stay away from Black Hat and be as "white hat" as possible. If budget wasn't much of an issue, what services would you do Tommy Hillfiger? What BST's would be useful for that? Would you go for link building?

How can YOU benefit a big company like that?

1.) using facebook ads to build a huge mailing list
2.) adwords ( picture ads) and youtube ( video ads) to make a solid market presence
3.) slow whitehat link building to the site.....
4.) can also advertise using some CPA networks.... through phone number submit programs...
sms lists works better than email lists....

anyways there are a tons of ways to drive traffic
i charge 100$ an hour for consultation :p

Some good suggestions above. If it's an established brand, I'd try to build their customer database through an opt-in e-mail strategy. Promotions through Facebook, banner ads, etc. could also be useful. The benefit of link-building would depend on how the desired keywords are ranking now and how much competition is present.

I would think that a brand like that already has an extensive emailing list, clothing brands typically benefit from custom youtube videos that get passed around organically. I've worked for huge brands in the past and that's something that brought in a lot of organic seo. I also made a not so popular shoe company a facebook contest giving away shoes once a day. That got some buzz.

I would add using Pinterest for the company's product promotion.
