    Hi Guys,

I am new here and I would love to start a new thread with a big question I dreamt of last night.

If I was broke at this point, and had maybe $20 on my paypal account, Is there a way to make good money in a week using IM, assume I will put in 12 hours a day. Let's say I do not own any domains and hosting and starting from scratch...

Just wondering if this is possible!

    Cheers,

    F500D

I'd do a quick rain check of my skills, and offer something on Fiverr.

Contract work is probably the first and most accessible wrung of the ladder in the online money-making world.

Not much can you do besides freelance work if you're not working with any hosting etc.

Maybe see if you can get into an affiliate company and do some person-to-person direct marketing.

so you dreamt that right? just like: "i am asking because a guy i know..."?

i would use the search function a little - as there have been threads about how to make money from scratch...
...and what does "good money" mean - as a week isn`t that much.

maybe getting a job would do the trick if someone is really broke...

    Thanks for the answers!

Halilovic, I am not broke lol I keep seeing people saying you can do IM from scratch and so I am wondering if this field can get people up on their feet without money.

If you were broke, you can market wealth management services with no money to start with and become decently rich in 2-3 years. So I am trying to see if people have any ideas that can do the same from internet based ventures.

I own a few websites, hosting and I provide web development services to compagnies, so it was not my situation really! and who cares, if i was broke right now, I would definitely find a way to get $2000 in a week!

Cheers and thanks for those who answered :)

It's difficult if you want to generate instant returns in that week. To get that instant money I think the only real way would be through freelancing/ offering a service people want.

    no offense to you...
...you just hear stuff like that too often. "i know someone..." - you know the deal.

but i wonder how someone would market wealth management services - being broke himself?

Possible yes...probable not likely. Better off getting an hourly job and learning then betting on the next meal especially starting from scratch.

For me, this business is not about turning a profit in a week. It's more about investing some time (and a small amount of money) over a few months to build some even longer term streams of income.

In other words, if you set up a goal that is one week from your start date, you may be setting yourself up to fail.

If I were broke I'd ask a relative & friend for money, open a chipin & donations site, do some fiverr gigs. Anything except a mcjob. :)

You may try writing articles for other people. Study how to build links using web 2.0 properties and create gig on fiverr.

It would surely depend entirely on your experience. Someone who is completely new to making money on the web wouldn't stand a chance because there are too many obstacles to overcome.

I'd be tempted to sell off any items of worth that I could buy back later to have a bit of money to play with and go from there.

It's not as hard as you might think, the real key is to not dwell on the problems and just focus on every opportunity that comes your way. If you have kids then I suggest not being too proud for food stamps as it's far better than stealing. The government has some great job skill programs and many of the people (at least at Michigan Works) are very friendly and understand that you just want to get back to work. Once you have the basics like food, shelter, and your bills up to date then you can start rebuilding your website with the help of lots of great posts at a website creation forum. Throughout the whole process try to remember to thank God for what you do have and keep smiling.

Well one way to make money from scratch is to create a Amazon account and list items on websites
like Bestbuy. Just mark the price up a little and make some off of the top of each item. The
reason I say amazon is because they do not have listing fees upfront. This is a way to start from nothing.

    Good Luck

I think there's so many ways to make money, but it all goes back to being creative. Just because you have a paintbrush it doesn't mean you're the next Van Gogh. I think you just focus on your strengths and keep looking out for opportunities.
